Gm gm fam ❤️ Let me say this plainly. Most people aren’t stuck because they lack talent. They’re stuck because they start everything with pressure instead of curiosity. This week alone, three people asked me: “Josh, how do you stay consistent without burning out?” Honestly, it’s simple. I learn with curiosity, not fear. When I was picking up SQL, Python, FastAPI, Dune, ML… I wasn’t telling myself, “This thing must change my life today.” I just followed whatever caught my interest in that moment. That’s how real progress shows up. Your best results come when you stop trying to force greatness and let yourself learn at a steady, honest pace. If you feel stuck, here’s what actually helps: • Pick one thing that excites you even a little • Show up for it daily in small bits • Don’t stress about the timeline • Let curiosity guide you For example… if you want to become a @dune wizard, spend time exploring other people’s queries and dashboards. Play around with building your own. Test advanced features like materialized views, understand why they matter, work with them, then generate sub-queries from that base table. You’ll start seeing how to fix real problems — unoptimized dashboards, slow queries, high credit usage — and you can pitch better strategies to teams. Something that small can open real doors. After that, move to the next skill and build from there. Consistency becomes easier when what you’re learning feeds your mind, not your anxiety. Gm again fam. Wishing you a blessed weekend ❤️

Thanks @AnalyticSages for your impact on my wallet-centric financial statement project! Building this taught me so much about merging traditional accounting principles with blockchain data. The challenge wasn't just technical, it was figuring out how to properly categorize crypto transactions using GAAP standards. Currently working on expanding this to multi-chain wallets and adding tax optimization features. For anyone building in this space: The intersection of finance + blockchain is full of opportunities. Happy to connect with others working on similar problems! #BlockchainAnalytics #CryptoAccounting #DeFi #Python #Web3

Most blockchain dashboards miss what makes @SuiNetwork different. I just built one that doesn't. The numbers: 218M users. 4.3B transactions processed. Only 0.17% understand what's possible. Here's what I found: → 85% of users stick to 1 protocol → 54K power users explore 40+ protocols → Same capabilities. Completely different knowledge. Why the gap? Sui isn't just fast. It's a different paradigm entirely. You can compose across protocols simultaneously. Run operations in parallel. Build in ways other chains can't. Most users have no idea. The retention data proves it: Best cohort: 24% (June 2025) Typical cohorts: <5% The difference? Users who explore multiple protocols stay 5x longer. This isn't a user problem. It's a discovery problem. Built this dashboard with @Dune to measure what people don't know they're missing and not just count transactions. More coming. The Truth About Blockchain Analysis? It's Not What You Think. Most people imagine blockchain analysts drowning in transaction hashes and wallet addresses all day. The reality? 80% of my work is studying the ecosystem itself. Before I can trace a single transaction, I need to understand: → The protocol's architecture and consensus mechanism → How different DeFi protocols interact and create dependencies → Community governance structures and decision-making patterns → Token economics and incentive models → Bridge mechanisms and cross-chain flows → The social layer; Discord channels, governance forums, Twitter dynamics Here's what surprised me most: The onchain data only tells half the story. Take Sui blockchain as an example. When I first analyzed it, my EVM mindset was completely wrong: → No account model since it uses object-centric storage (Move's unique approach) → Transactions process in parallel, not sequentially like Ethereum → Gas mechanisms work differently with no mempool front-running → Smart contracts are written in Move, not Solidity which is a different security assumptions Without understanding these fundamentals, I misinterpreted normal Sui activity as anomalies. What looked like "unusual" transaction batching was actually just the protocol working as designed. Context is everything. The best blockchain analysts aren't just data scientists; we're ecosystem anthropologists. We study the architecture, the culture, the incentives, and the design philosophy that drives the onchain activity we investigate. So yes, I use block explorers and analytics tools daily. But I spend just as much time: Reading technical documentation Understanding Move semantics Learning why Sui's parallel execution model changes everything about transaction flow interpretation The chain never lies. But without understanding the ecosystem, you'll never know what questions to ask. hashtag#OnchainAnalytics hashtag#Blockchain hashtag#Sui hashtag#CryptoAnalysis hashtag#Web3

I am thrilled to announce I've submitted my project, iSmarty, to the #Solana @colosseum Hackathon! 🤖 It's a Telegram bot that leverages on-chain data for token signals, and we've already seen up to 70x on a single call! Huge thanks to everyone who provided feedback, especially for the insights on including OG tokens with accumulation. Special shout out to @apostleoffin for empowering @AnalyticSages students! #Solana #ColosseumHackathon #DeFi

When I first pulled @SonicLabs data through @Dune, I thought I'd made a mistake. $18,206,683,784 in DEX volume. That's billion with a B. 130 million transactions. 2.8 million users. 39 million swaps. And the token? $0.16; literally at ATL as of yesterday. I had to dig deeper. The Volume Is Real 324,928 traders moving an average of $56,034 each; that's not casual DeFi activity. For context, the average DeFi user does $3,000-8,000 lifetime. Sonic traders are doing 10x that. Someone is moving serious capital through this chain But the Retention Is Catastrophic 2.8 million wallets have touched Sonic. Guess how many use it daily? 12,092. That's 0.43% daily active users. Translation: 2.8M people tried Sonic. 99.57% don't come back. The Reliability Problem Here's where it gets interesting. One in four transactions failing on some days. Sonic swings from 74% to 92% day-to-day. You can't build serious applications on infrastructure that fails a quarter of transactions.

The Token Tells the Story Current price: $0.16 All-time high: $0.76 (February 2025) Change: -79% Today, Sonic is at its all-time low, despite $14.4M in daily DEX volume. The market is screaming something that the volume numbers hide: Activity ≠ Value You can have $18 billion flowing through your protocol and still have a token price in freefall if users don't stick around.

What This Actually Means After analyzing every metric, here's what I see: Sonic attracted 2.8M users (probably through airdrops, Fantom migration, and early curiosity). It failed to give them a reason to stay (0.43% return daily). The volume exists ($18.2B is real), but it's concentrated among a tiny group of whales and likely bots. The token price reflects this reality. This isn't a dead chain; 12K daily users and $14M daily volume prove that. But it's a ghost chain. Lots of transactions, few people. The Lesson Here This is what I mean when I talk about onchain analytics. Surface metrics lie. "$18 billion in volume!" sounds incredible. Until you see 0.43% user retention. "2.8 million users!" sounds impressive. Until you realize 99.57% never come back. Volume without retention is just noise. The blockchain doesn't lie; you just have to know which numbers to trust. The question isn't whether Sonic has activity. It does. The question is, does anyone care enough to stay? Right now, the data says no. Omoh 😩… Some days e go be like say your brain don hang. No motivation. No spark. Just you, your laptop, and one stubborn bug wey no wan gree fix 😭 But guess what? Those exact days — are where the real growth happens. 💯 Because when motivation fades (and it will)… Discipline na the only thing wey go hold you. . Sometimes it’s not about inspiration — it’s about doing small things well, over and over again. . Running that one extra query on @Dune for example... Testing that one API endpoint again... Pushing one last commit on VsCode to @github before you crash... Using @envio_indexer one more time...or decoding onchain events once more... Prompting that AI once more to help debug your code errors... Making that extra research for one more time on that protocol to get clarity... ...etc... That’s how you build muscle — not just in code, but in character. 💪 . Nobody dey see when you dey debug API errors at 2 a.m... Nobody dey clap when your @streamlit or @v0 app breaks again for no reason... But when everything finally clicks… When your project ships… When your name shows up where it matters — You’ll realize consistency quietly built your reputation. 💡 . And funny enough, that’s one of the biggest gems I picked up from @blockfestafrica last weekend: 👉 The people winning in this space aren’t the most talented — they’re the most consistent. The ones who kept showing up even when nobody was clapping. The ones who built when others were doubting. . Fr, @SamuelXeus said it best — “Perception must equal reality.” But for that perception to even exist, you have to keep showing up. 💯 . I’ve learned overtime that: ↘︎ Motivation starts the fire, ↘︎ but, Discipline keeps it burning. You don’t need to move mountains every day. Just keep showing up — even if all you do is write one clean line of code. 📍Because daily small steps compounds. Keep building, keep showing up. Your breakthrough fit be the next line you write. 😉 Gm gm fam ❤️ ••——•• BTW.. after #BlockfestAfrica2025, here's want I built 🔥 1️⃣ dune.com/defi__josh/aave-on-… 2️⃣ dune.com/defi__josh/euler-on… 3️⃣ dune.com/defi__josh/fluid-on… NB: This is not your typical project/protocol to fade.

Onchain Analytics and Why It Matters in 2025 Everything on the blockchain is visible. Most people just don't know how to look. 2 AM, 2022. I was watching transactions flow across Etherscan when my friend sent me a link to my own wallet. "Look at yourself." Every transaction. Every token. Every move I'd ever made (public). That's when I stopped being a user and became an analyst. What Is Onchain Analytics? Reading blockchain's public data to find patterns and extract insights. We track: Where money flows Who's moving it Why it's moving What it means The challenge isn't access. It's interpretation. Why 2025 Is Different - Institutions are here (BlackRock, PayPal) - Regulations demand transparency - AI enables real-time predictions - Tools are now accessible to everyone What I Learned While everyone watched price candles, I watched: Stablecoin inflows (liquidity signals) Whale wallets (smart money moves) Gas spikes (activity surges) These told stories charts couldn't. You don't need to be technical. Just curious. In 2025, understanding onchain data isn't optional. The data is public. The tools exist. Are you paying attention? The blockchain doesn't lie. It just waits for someone to read it. #BlockchainAnalytics #Web3
