Friends, I could really use some help. A large group of Amish builders from Ohio are spending the next FIVE MONTHS fixing homes damaged by Hurricane Helene for FREE in Western North Carolina and South Carolina. There's just one problem... the Amish don't drive, so they need drivers to take them back and forth to job sites and drop off trailers (if you have a truck). I have already volunteered to help, but we need more volunteers. If you feel led and are in the area, there's a sign up sheet in the comments. You'll get free breakfast and free dinner too + you'll get to meet some of the heroes who have been working here to rebuild.

And no problem that we have is so small that God doesn't care about it or us.
No problem in your life is too big for God.

Thank you for this, Ronald. Wish that I’d read this before my last few posts.
I’ve debated whether I should post this, but I feel the need to share my perspective regarding Treyson Bourguet’s recent social media post. As a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, someone who moved to Utah for school, and now someone who professionally covers college athletics in this state, I have a little bit more of an outside perspective. It’s disheartening to see the contention between BYU and Utah fans, especially when the conversation revolves around what it means to be “Christlike.” I respect BYU fans who have defended Treyson, just as I respect the Utah fan who disagree with his comments. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but disagreement doesn’t justify name-calling, personal attacks, or tearing others down. Having just attended a church and having a lesson today centered on love, I find it disappointing that so much of the online conversation reflects the opposite. We can disagree respectfully without questioning someone’s faith, character, or intentions. There is already enough hatred and negativity in this world. Regardless of your religious beliefs or university allegiance, I believe we could all benefit from greater kindness, humility, and self-reflection, myself included. I’m disappointed as human being. I hope we all continue to strive by demonstrating love, especially toward those with whom we disagree. Just my thoughts with all the back and forth.

Anyone offended by, or critical of, Treyson Bourguet’s comments might benefit from this message from Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin, a former member of the Quorum of the 12 and my favorite former football player for the University of Utah. churchofjesuschrist.org/stud…

Please explain how you aren’t trivializing sacred things when you say that God’s grace made you a Ute fan and how it’s not hypocritical of you to criticize a player of another faith for using a scripture-based analogy. But, don’t worry, I don’t judge or dislike you for it.
BYU fans can’t understand why so many people dislike their football program. Here’s a perfect example! A BYU quarterback compared the disciples’ grief over Christ’s Crucifixion and the hope of His Resurrection to BYU football’s setbacks and hoped-for redemption. The Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ are sacred, NOT football analogies. Stop trivializing the Savior’s sacrifice to make a point about football. Enough already! CAN YOU NOT SEE HOW INAPPROPRIATE THIS IS?! IT’S FOOTBALL! 🏈 The holier-than-thou mentality is exhausting!

I am not that well versed in the tiebreakers and such of making it to the big 12 championship game, but it appears to me that we now want the Utes to beat Houston, so that we can then beat the Utes. I think that would get us in if we don’t lose any other games, am I correct?

So, in an effort to find some reason to keep hope alive, I went online to see if the basketball team fared any better than the football team. Thank you KY and company. As I’ve said all along, we are a M & WBB/XC/WVB/WSOC school. Just kidding—kind of.

Good for you, UCF. We didn’t get it done. They made more plays. Great game. That hurt.

Any spare tickets to the Sitake show on NOV 11? (My birthday 🥳) I think the two people who responded previously were scammers. No BYU follows. No knowledge of how the event works, etc.
Hey BYU fans. I am going to be in town the week of the Baylor game! I was hoping to go to the Kilani Sitake show on the 10th. Does anyone have a couple extra tickets they're okay parting with? #SitakeShow #BYU #BYUFootball
