Booking for the Bayeux Tapestry at @britishmuseum is an absolute farce. Joined the online queue at 10:00 when it opened, allocated aprox 135,000 in the queue, then it notifies those waiting to say fully booked 4 hrs later without ever getting below place 100k in the queue...

Surely more tickets could be made available across 3 months worth of openings, especially if they've been having late night slots available?

Small shoutout to @StagecoachSouth for extending route #75 in Winchester beyond 18:00 on a Friday. Basic acknowledgment that us rural folk may also have social lives (shock horror!) is always much appreciated.

Given that we got £100m for Tonali and Rogers has just gone to Chelsea for £117m, surely we’d be nuts to even entertain a bid of £70m for Bruno, given how critical he is to the first team? #NUFC bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…

Is this DR Congo game going to be Thomas Tuchel’s Iceland? #England

Not sure I’ve watched an England game this dull since South Africa 2010. Riding on a very lucky penalty so far. #England #WorldCup

I’m not sure Daniel Levy was envisioning midweek home matches in the championship for the Tottenham Stadium when it was opened…

When you get your running shoes out for the weekend run and see how much mud is left on them from the trail run event you entered the week before… #UKRunChat #trailrunning

When, over the last 10 years or so, did @HollisterCo go from selling (what felt like) a fairly well made range of colourful T-shirts and shirts to now only offering such a dreary collection of grey/black poor-90’s-imitation style baggy loungewear?

Maybe my clothing tastes have changed as I’ve got older, but it feels like their menswear offerings are a shadow of what they were in the early 2010’s @HollisterCo #hollister #grumpyoldman

Being back in the office for the first time in a couple of years has taught me people really can’t seem to grasp the basics of how to load a dishwasher properly… or do I just have some form of dishwasher loading OCD?

Trail runners, you guys are a different breed. Did my first trail run event today, and while fun, those things are BRUTAL compared to road races, especially in the January mud 🤣 Think I’ll stick to road races going forward, but certainly fun to try! #UKRunChat #trailrun

Bit of an extreme approach to keeping the rights to stream Friends… (On a serious side note, it’s going to be fascinating to see how the nuts and bolts functioning of this deal plays out).
Today, Netflix announced our acquisition of Warner Bros. Together, we’ll define the next century of storytelling, creating an extraordinary entertainment offering for audiences everywhere. about.netflix.com/en/news/ne…

In February 2026, Paramount offered a higher sum of money than Netflix offered to acquire Warner Bros, but Netflix refused to increase its offer. Because of this, Netflix will not acquire Warner Bros. reuters.com/legal/transact…

Signing myself up for my 4th running event of 2026…..who have I become? #UKrunchat #whathaveidone

Third running event of 2026 booked in. Not sure when I became the multi-race in a year booking type but here we are... Best get some more miles on the legs this side of Christmas!

Liking our chances in the league cup with the teams left. Although if Arsenal / City / Chelsea & Palace could be drawn to face each other in the next round, that would be fab. #NUFC #LeagueCup

Was air playing a YouTube video from my laptop to my Sony TV and it auto dubbed the dialogue into German from English. I’ve had this once before and had found why it happens but completely forgot the reason / that it happens. Anyone else experienced it? 🥴

Was slightly apprehensive about running in the dark now we've hit winter. Turns out it's perfect - there's nobody about in the evening and if you do meet anyone it's too dark for them to see how much of a sweaty state I'm in from mile 2.5 onwards 🤣

Just booked two running events for late 2026. On the one hand I'm excited for both, on the other, I'm slightly nervous I've booked my first marathon since London 2021 within a fortnight of a pretty hilly half. Plenty of training time to get adequate shape right? #UKRunchat

#UKrunchat it's reached that sad but inevitable time to potentially change my running shoes. I've currently got the Brooks Ghost 14s (which I've loved for all 700+ odd miles of running), but as Brooks don't seem to make them any more, any recommendations for similar models?
