You may be forgiven for thinking the Tocharians were an uncreative people. What scant literature survives is almost entirely sectarian, and almost entirely in translation. Buddhist sutras, hymns, dramas, all from India. But one. One unique creation, one original work: a love poem
Reactionaries for some reason think โ€œromantic loveโ€ is some special magical thing and not as mundane, boring, and common as like โ€œeating foodโ€

I always find it funny when I see some leftist talking about what โ€œOur Foundersโ€ would have wanted. If our founders saw what this country has turned into they would chimp out like the engineer in Prometheus.

Enemies all around is classic European fatalism with the struggle never optional arc, Iโ€™ve thought the same about ring poetry too, it hits the same nerve with the โ€˜beginning tells the endโ€™ structure. You fight anyway, because thatโ€™s what makes it our story

There is a lovely rare Greek word ฯ„ฮฑฮฝฯฯƒฯ†ฯ…ฯฮฟฯ‚ "thin-ankled." Homer uses it to describe Persephone (Hymn to Demeter 2). Hesiod uses it to describe the 3,000 daughters of Ocean (Th. 365). Having thin ankles was a trait of a beautiful goddess or woman.

Americans need to recycle the libtard land acknowledgment and every morning tell each kid โ€œyou are a conqueror. This land was taken and created by sheer force and white settler colonialism. These are the tribes we subdued here:โ€

I just want indestructible super civilians who are beautiful and donโ€™t envy. Who are intelligent, with good taste and magnanimity in all they think and do. Who will bring the highest goods to this world. Is that so unreasonable?
