I’ve been involved with weather for 40 years and I think the public’s response to warnings is worse than it ever has been. Many reasons for it, such as access to conflicting weather info or the idea that it never happens. What would it take for you take shelter before the storm?

Developing and strengthening circulation was the reason behind Tornadoes Warning issuance! If you’re in the warning, keep your eyes to the sky and move to shelter if threatening weather approaches!

Warnings being issued for hailers in southwest MN. Question for the evening is will the atmosphere recover for more storm development. Pretty stable behind lead trough!

And just like that there’s nothing in the area. As I mentioned earlier, main activity will be associated with west river storms moving east as the evening turns to night. Main threat should be wind.

The boundary interaction is starting to cause a few storms to form to the west of Sioux Falls at 6:15 PM. It will be interesting to see what the storms to the south do our storm ingredients around the metro area. Main activity for SF still looks to be after Midnight.
