I bought this a month before @LoganPaul bought his.
One of the hardest to grade Mewtwos ever. POP 8.
I screenshotted this from a YouTube video last year. This is the same exact Mewtwo that sold last night for $604k, on sale in-person at this Japanese shop for $50k alongside a NR Clefairy PSA 10 listed at $35k. This investment would have made you a 1200% return over just one year

No Rarity - Pokemon TCG Origin
Despite Japanese Vintage being down for the last 6 months with many down as much as 10-30%.
No Rarity has only gone from strength to strength.
Want to know why people are scrambling to obtain them?
Read this post i wrote a few months ago.
Markets are never wrong, there is a reason collectors pay more for No Rarity Charizard vs English 1st Edition.
No Rarity is the Genesis of Pokemon TCG
No Rarity - Unofficial 1st Edition Japanese
Released in October 20 1996 with people estimating ~53 days print run. (data courtesy of the forum users at Elitefourum)
The first pokemon official set print run was released with various errors before being corrected soon after thus making it an unofficial 1st edition.
The name No Rarity is due to the signature Rarity symbol missing in the bottom right.
Booster pack wise (won’t discuss packs) they can only find them in the 291 yen packs vs the 300 yen packs released April 1, 1997. Even then the chances of finding a no rarity in a 291 yen pack is < 1% now a days.
Initially pokemon cards sold quite slowly which is why today we ended up with such a small supply of No Rarity (posted my data in the holo population).
Most of the Holos have had < 500 graded in totality!
I totally forgot to write a proper post on the genre despite discussing it for months but felt it’s about right as Logan clearly has shown interest in the origins of Pokemon and he has mentioned No Rarity before in the clip i am posting.
There is also only 1 Raichu PSA 10 in existance so making this the second hardest set to master set in a PSA 10 after the Corocoro Set which has 0 PSA 10 Ivy Pikachus.
Two weeks ago $108k. How much higher did it go? The answer is 44.
44k higher. Sold tonight for $152.5k. No Rarity is barely heating up. The first set in the entire Pokemon TCG, super scarce. Don't say I didn't warn you.

No Rarity Has become an Auction Market
Sales of No Rarity have slowed this week but I have also noticed the BIN
(Buy it Now) listings have also disappeared or repriced much high.
Currently the lowest BIN for a PSA 8 Holo is 6.5k Nidoking.
My gut is that most sales for the near-term future will be auctions until prices are climb high enough to encourage more listings or people begin listing below current BIN.
We have about 5 Auctions coming up this week which will be quite telling as we have some very big hitters.
- PSA 10 Mewtwo (Pop 9)
- PSA 8 Charizard (last sold 108k confirmed paid)
- PSA 8 Alakazam
- PSA 8 Machamp
- PSA 8 Chansey
I’ll be particularly interested where the Mewtwo lands. Any PSA 10s Holo of any kind only sell about every 3-6 months.

I bet no one saw this coming...
A 1996 Japanese No Rarity Computer Search PSA 10 was listed for $350,000 on @PSAcard's eBay store and sold for $250,000 via an accepted offer.
That's a wild price for a Trainer card. Looks like everything is computer. Thoughts on this?
$365k sale last night for POP 15 Corocoro Glossy Surfing Pikachu. A silent grail along with Mew, Mewtwo, and Balloon Pikachu.
That feeling when you sell 6 months too soon and miss out on 8 grand 😭 Who can top that?

Happy 30th birthday to the Pokemon TCG. No Rarity and '96 Corocoro are the only cards in Pokemon that can actually say they're actually 30 years old. I'll never sell these, these relics are vaulted for life.

No. There's a difference between Gem Rate and Low Pop. I believe Low Pop to be under 50. Even 1st ed base set Charizard isn't Low Pop at 123. It may have a very good Gem Rate, but certainly not Low Pop.
Low Pop is an absolute, while Gem Rate is proportional to total population.
I remember Waka Flocka and Logic were big into Pokemon cards around 2021. Where are they now? They must have some crazy collections by now...
PSA 8 No Rarity Charizard just sold for $108,000
There's another in the 30th Anniv Auction on Goldin ending in 2 weeks. How much higher will it go?
Besides the Trophy Pikachu and Marketing Ivy Pikachu, this No Rarity Mewtwo is THE most significant card in Goldin's 30th Anniv Auction.
First Mewtwo card ever. Released years before America even knew who Mewtwo was.
POP 9
I believe a No Rarity Poliwrath just sold for 400k
