Watched Donnie Brasco again. Acting is a bit over forced at times. But overall it holds up really well.. and it’s a true story… β€œI spent all these years trying to be the good guy… the man in the white freaken hat… for what… for what…?”

Real tera jerker ending. Pacino plays a not so smart guy and Depp plays a guy who’s smart but pretending to be less smart. Meanwhile both actors are presumably very smart. β€œIf Donnie calls, tell him, if it had to be anyone I’m glad it was him””

I like how the story starts well into Donnie’s work. Your brain gets a shot of what’s going on, and they explain the background later. Then it just gets deeper and deeper. Eventually you are on the side of both of them but know only one will likely survive to the end…

Japan’s elite needs to embrace and rally behind a new goal. Post-war, post-bubble, post-deflation, post-lost decadesβ€”Japan knows what’s behind it, but doesn’t quite know where to go from here.
