Months of work and collaboration with so many people has gone into this 68 page whitepaper with @PandaScore And I gotta say it's absolutely the best piece of work I've done to date My uni thesis was shorter and I wrote that in 11 months – so at least I can write faster now!
💡ESPORTS DOESN’T HAVE TO BE A STEP INTO THE DARK 💡 With the collaboration of several industry peers, today we’ve launched a comprehensive whitepaper to serve as the North Star for operators seeking to build a successful esports betting product. buff.ly/3DKCnUz
as @VinceRugari perfectly put it last week: other sports ask for funding and they get it, football asks for funding and other sports get it. the #FIFAWWC has done wonders for all of us, sure, but it's the SPORT that deserves to be rewarded for it, not everyone else.

Kids are straight up gambling using Roblox, not through the game itself but third-party sites where they link their account. These sites have no licenses, no checks, no regulation and are marketing to children through underage content creators.
My latest explores Roblox's underground skin gambling scene and the predatory practices used by black market casino operators to target the game's underage audience, allowing kids to illegally gamble away their Robux and valuable in-game items. Read more sharpr.substack.com/p/kids-a…

I have been working on a new esports business news site called The Esports Advocate over the last few months. I think there is enough there to say it's "officially open for business." esportsadvocate.net Let's explore why "another site about esports" is needed.🧵

Real estate agents collect far too much personal information. We need Privacy Act reform, and strong state-based regulation to protect renter privacy.

I learned very quickly that if you want to make a living as a writer/journo, you can't rely on esports alone to make it happen Explore other spaces that pay a livable wage so you can have one foot in esports and one foot out And don't discount writing for comms/marketing

And particularly on that last part: Because most outlets can't run on adrev alone, they're taking money from the companies that they report on. Not making a conflict of interest argument here, but you should consider cutting out the middleman and getting the bag for yourself
