Incredible @SamCoatesSky scoop. To appoint Mandelson, Starmer ignored:
- 2 previous resignations for financial impropriety
- A well-publicised friendship with the world's most notorious paedophile
- AND warnings from his own security services
76% of extremist-related killings in the last decade have been committed by right-wingers. 4% by leftists.
Trump, Musk and co are trying to paint political violence as just a left issue. It's not even close to true.
Growing evidence that Starmer's only savvy political appointment has been making his US Ambassador the one guy in the world who wrote creepier stuff to Epstein than Trump.
And the British public believes that the climate is changing because of humans - 67% agree.
Reform accepted conference sponsorship from a group who'd called climate change 'fake news' and compared those who believe it to the Unabomber.
(@YouGov, March)
The British public thinks politicians should distance themselves from Lucy Connolly.
51% say distance, 18% say they should associate themselves. And a majority believe her sentence was fair or lenient. Yet she was hailed as a hero at Reform conference.

The British public overwhelmingly supports vaccines - 83% say they trust vaccines in general.
The antivax conspiracies given a platform on the main stage at Reform conference are massively out of touch with general opinion.

Lockdown was clearly harder for some parts of society than others. And anger at lockdown has pushed a minority to vaccine conspiracy theories.
But you are v wrong to think that's a popular position outside your echo-chamber. 83% of Brits trust vaccines. It's not even close.
📚🤯 Incredible, bonkers @chloehadj investigation - the 'true' heartwarming literary phenomenon The Salt Path is really a story of lies and deceit.
The book's sold 2m+ copies and is now a major film. But the real story behind it is so much darker.

And it means leaving Sky after 10 years.
From the (absurdly) fresh-faced kid launching Ridge of Sunday with @SophyRidgeSky to chasing @BethRigby around Kyiv.
There's so many brilliant reporters, crews, editors + producers who I've been very lucky to work with along the way ♥️
