I don’t know where this number 2 for Chelsea came from but I saw him a couple of weeks ago try to control the ball. Instantly said worst player in the league. Watching again today and I think my initial instinct was close to bang on. He is our key to winning this game.

Keeper just held the ball for 11 seconds. Guess the refs have forgotten that rule already 🤦‍♂️

Can’t say I’m actually that fussed with the result today. Resigned to losing, so I think much of the emotion has probably gone but I just want to see something that resembles Manchester United. Get forward, dive into some tackles, show us something 🇾🇪 #mufc

I’ve seen some embarrassing stuff from football clubs lately, Man Utd at the front of the line but this is just woeful from Villa.
Aston Villa will initiate legal action against Jamie Carragher for his unacceptable insults about the Club and its fans. Aston Villa will not allow anyone to stop our ascension in English and European football. Nassef Sawiris, Chairman

I’ve been writing for @ManUtdNsW magazines for years. Have always enjoyed it, going to try my hand at substack to try & properly share my views with people who find Twitter frustrating as well. First piece out later regarding Carrick’s Chelsea night in Moscow to this weekend.

Rooney to Goldbridge “The players are a disgrace. They aren’t running”. Goldbridge nods in agreement, “You’re totally right” YouTube comments “The players are a disgrace. They aren’t running” Goldbridge “Defending Carrick, you’re a Glazer. It’s not the players, it’s Carrick”

Reading this and trying to put yourself in the mind of someone who can’t comprehend the comparison is hard on the brain.
Comparing Manchester City to Lance Armstrong is absolutely miles off it. 🤣 He PHYSICALLY doped and gave him an unfair advantage that no amount of training or equipment could match. It wasn’t a case as simple as him having a better bike or equipment to gain a slight advantage. City did not dope or use PEDs. The advantage came from (compared to some clubs but not others) more investment and also just far better investment in the squad, infrastructure, coaching etc. essentially building a better ‘bike’ in the process and then using it more effectively than other teams on the whole.

If it’s Eddie Howe, it is what it is, what can you do. Decent manager but would obviously fail at United. Who knows, maybe for a team around the relegation zone, could be the man for 12 months. However, my main issue would have that Jason Tindall lunatic embarrassing our club😔

From Carrick’s point of view simply as a football man. It must be horrible to get sacked off the back of players not able to lace your boots. Obviously many wider issues of course but on the pitch, it’d be so frustrating for managers with how bad the modern day players are.

An arrival today to give me a little happiness from Man United. A first day cover signed by George Best. Been on the lookout for an autograph & thought this was a decent little piece. My joy supporting United now just comes from sitting in a room surrounded by memorabilia😞🇾🇪

3-0 was expected. We have evidence of that and Bournemouth are a far better team than United. So I’m not surprised at that. My surprise comes from my stupidity of watching it and knowing I’ll watch the next game.

So enjoyable watching United’s 18s smashing Liverpool. A small reminder of some of the good around United. Watching the youth always brings something to remind you of what Man Utd is. Great to see an Aussie out there, Rooney continue to develop & a players simply giving 100% 🇾🇪

Watching a United “fan” who thought Phil Neville started the 99 UCL final over Ryan Giggs, continue to just pile needless shit on Carrick every single day is one of the most draining parts of this club 😔 #mufc

I love Bruno. However, deep down I’ve always had massive questions & concerns that keep him below some greats that his quality might have put him up with. He has been great but he’s also been a part of the worst of it. Far from the problem but I don’t disagree too much here.
Bruno’s comments 🤯

This issue many had was not getting their head around that people thought a top level coach would help us 😂
They called me toxic for saying it at the end of last season that the board would be making a MISTAKE giving Carrick the job permanently. Anyone with common sense knew the right thing to have done was thank him, wish him well, and stick to the original plan of appointing a top-level coach.
