I told my friend about a job interview I had coming up, and she offered to help me prepare. On the day of the interview, I discovered she had applied for the same position using the information I’d shared with her. She got the job. The company called me three weeks later because she had listed me as a reference without asking.

I was dating a lady who told me she didn't believe in sex before marriage. She said that if I couldn't wait until our wedding night, we should break up. I accepted. At least, I was happy that I found a virgin and not someone who followed men up and down. To be honest, I never seen her with any man. One day, I bought her favourite snacks and decided to pay her a surprise visit. When I got there, I saw a pair of women's slippers at her doorstep. I knocked, but nobody responded. I opened the door and went straight to her room. Lo and behold, she was doing it with another woman. I was so shocked. I ran out of her room and never answered her calls again.

This lady’s kidney failed immediately after giving birth, and you, as a man, want to downplay what women go through during pregnancy? If you are a man, please just shut up. You have no idea what pregnancy feels like or what women go through to bring a child into this world. You do not even need to be part of that discussion if all you want to do is dismiss their experiences.
No one hates mummy zee because she was once favored on this app. I personally unfollowed and blocked her the day she said “pregnancy is not a death sentence” That statement is her being dismissive of the crazy things that women go through in pregnancy. Some women have lost their limbs because they brought a life into this world. Some went blind. Some did C section and never got to see their baby. I had seizures that made me unconscious and lost my ability to speak for almost 2 days. Mummy zee constantly talks down on women as if it’s not the same genital parts she has with us. You don’t have to be a “girls girls” but talk like someone that has sense when it comes to matters that involve women.

The man sitting beside me in the hospital waiting room offered to buy me coffee from the cafeteria if I'd switch chairs with the woman across the room near the window. I thought I'd misheard him over the overhead paging system. I hadn't. He leaned over and said quietly, "I'll grab you whatever you want from downstairs if you take her seat instead of staying here." I glanced across the room. A woman in her sixties, cardigan, flipping through a magazine without really reading it. Nothing about her seemed unusual. "Is she bothering you?" I asked. He shook his head. "No." "Did something happen between you two?"…….

Three years ago, my friend agreed to go on a blind date. The guy told her he would be wearing a gray suit so she could recognize him easily. She got dressed, arrived at the restaurant, and immediately spotted a handsome man in a gray suit sitting alone. She smiled and walked straight toward him. Big mistake. Or maybe the best mistake of her life.

My elderly neighbors, George and Martha, had been married for 54 years. Every Friday, George would leave their house around 10 a.m. and return with a small bunch of flowers for his wife. Even when it snowed, he never missed a Friday. One afternoon, I saw him struggling to walk back from his car. He was holding his flowers in one hand and leaning heavily on his walking stick. I offered to help him, but he smiled and said he needed to deliver something important himself. A few weeks later, an ambulance came to their house. Martha had suffered a stroke and was taken to the hospital. After that, George stopped buying flowers. I assumed he was too worried about his wife, so I started checking on him. One morning, I found him sitting alone on his porch, holding an old photograph of Martha. He told me the doctors were not sure she would recover fully. Then he looked at the empty chair beside him and said he missed having someone to share breakfast with. It broke my heart. Every Sunday, I began bringing him a meal and sitting with him for a while. Three months later, Martha finally came home. That Friday morning, I saw George walking toward his car again. He returned an hour later with his usual flowers. I watched him enter their house. A few minutes later, I heard Martha laughing through their open window. George had placed the flowers in her lap, kissed her forehead, and pulled a chair beside her bed. As I walked away, I heard him say softly, "I kept our Fridays waiting for you." Martha held his hand and smiled.

Our friend got married a few months ago, and since then, anything you ask her, her answer is always, “Let me ask my husband.” Girl, let us grab coffee this Saturday. Let me ask my husband. Come with us to the movies. Let me ask my husband. We are having a girls’ night. Are you coming? Let me ask my husband. At first, we laughed about it, but soon, we realized she was doing it on purpose. Whenever we made plans, she would smile and remind us that some of us had husbands to consider. One day, she even told our single friend, Jessica, that she would understand when she got married. According to her, she could not just move around as if she were answerable to nobody. Jessica smiled and said nothing. A few weeks later, our married friend had an emergency. Her car broke down, and she needed someone to lend her $500 until payday. Guess who she called? Jessica. She explained her situation and begged Jessica to lend her the money, promising to pay her back the following week. Jessica replied, “Oh, I would love to help you, but you will have to wait for me to find a husband first, so he can tell me whether to lend you the money or not.”

Tolani’s husband had been ch€ating on her for months, and whenever she confronted him, he threatened to send her out of his house. One evening, he brought his girlfriend home and told Tolani to pack her things because he was tired of the marriage. Tolani didn’t argue, she quietly packed a small bag, collected her documents, and left. His girlfriend laughed and said, “Finally, this house can have peace.” The following morning, a lawyer arrived with documents showing that the house belonged to Tolani. She had bought it with her money before the marriage, but her husband had been telling everyone he built it himself. When he called her in panic, she simply said, “You told me to leave your house. I’ve left. Now please explain to your girlfriend why both of you have seven days to leave mine.” 😭😂🔥

Every Sunday, four elderly women at a nursing home dressed up like they were going on a date. They wore lipstick, styled their gray hair, and sat by the window, waiting. The nurses always laughed. “Ladies, who are you trying to impress?” “Mind your business!” Martha, the oldest, would reply. One Sunday, a new nurse noticed that one chair was empty. “Where’s Betty?” she asked. The room went quiet. Betty had passed away the night before. The nurse expected tears, but Martha simply placed four cups of tea on the table. “Betty hated being left out,” she whispered. Then she pulled out a small envelope. Inside were four old photographs and a note Betty had written months earlier: “If one of us leaves first, promise me you'll keep dressing up, keep laughing, and keep living. We may be old, but our friendship is not.” The nurse couldn't hold back her tears. From that day on, the three women continued their Sunday tradition. They dressed up, drank tea, shared gossip, and laughed until their stomachs hurt. And every Sunday, they placed four cups on the table. Not because they had forgotten Betty was gone. But because some friendships are too beautiful to end when someone leaves. Sometimes, the family we choose becomes the family that carries us through the hardest days.

I trusted a man with my money, only to discover he was the reason I could no longer afford my rent. Last Friday, I went to the ATM to withdraw my savings, but my account balance was almost empty. I immediately contacted my bank. After checking my transactions, I noticed several withdrawals I never made. Then I remembered Daniel, a man I had known for three years. He had borrowed my phone the previous week to make an urgent call. I confronted him outside his workplace. “Daniel, did you take my money?” I asked. He looked me straight in the eyes. “Are you calling me a thief?” I showed him the transaction records. He became quiet, then walked away without answering. I reported the matter to the police. Two days later, they called us both in for questioning. Daniel finally admitted transferring the money, but claimed he planned to return it before I noticed. Then he revealed something I never expected. He said he had used part of the money to pay for emergency surgery for his younger sister. His sister's medical bills were real. I confirmed that through his family. But he had stolen my money without asking, leaving me struggling to pay my own bills. His mother begged me to forgive him. “He made a mistake,” she cried. I looked at Daniel and asked, “If I hadn't discovered it, would you ever have told me?” He lowered his head. Now everyone says I should forgive him because he saved a life. But nobody is offering to pay my rent. Was I wrong to press charges, or did his situation justify what he did?

I paid two years' rent upfront. My brother, who lives in another state, found a better-paying job with better working conditions for me. My rent still had one year left before it expired. I asked my landlord to refund me the rent for the remaining year since I was leaving, but he said it wasn't part of our agreement. So, I found someone who was willing to live in the apartment and pay me for the remaining year. When I told my landlord about the arrangement, he said that wasn't part of the agreement either. He told me that if I no longer wanted to live in the apartment, I should leave so he could rent it to someone else. I came up with an idea. I collected the money from the person I found and lived with him for one month. My landlord thought he was my relative. After one month, I secretly moved out. Our landlord only found out when the guy wanted to renew the rent. He told him to move out. The guy insisted that he was my cousin. After a long argument, the landlord finally believed him and renewed his rent. He's still living there today as my cousin.

That accidental meeting turned into dates, then a relationship, then a proposal. Today, my friend and the man she mistakenly approached in that restaurant have been married for three years.

She could have apologized, left the theater, and gone to meet her actual date. But here's the thing: she was already falling for the man beside her. So she made a decision that changed her life. She exchanged numbers with him and decided to see where things would go. Her original date never got a second chance.
