Made into @NetflixUK documentary on my football club, “Sunderland Til I Die”
@Fulwell73 have done a great job with it even with me making the slow motion scene 😂

The sooner Nordi and BDB are back the better.
There must be better options than Xhaka. Not interested. Not leading.
Danso & Alderete aren’t the answer. 09 better than the pair of them.
Having Diarra available would be useful.
And need some luck.

That was awful, there’s no sugarcoating it. Slow, lethargic and defensively an absolute shambles. There is absolutely nothing to feel any bit of happiness about in that game. Just miles off what it should be,there wasn’t any real sort of fight, playing with a real whimper #SAFC

Last season we pinged the ball about with speed and momentum. This season nothing, so slow.
Last season we were defensively strong, this season I could score against us. Those two views alone make us a wholly different team but with mostly the same players. So disappointing.
Disaster all over…
This new set piece coach signed from Dog and Duck Veterans FC?
No desire, no pace, CBs as strong as a ice cube in the sun
Embarrassing

This was potentially the biggest, most exciting and transformative #SAFC season of many of our lifetimes.
Instead, it feels increasingly like an opportunity squandered and a truly generational chance wasted.
Shove the “advanced metrics” up your arse — we’re in trouble.

Better in the second half but still nowhere near good enough. That first half was embarrassing, absolutely no desire to win the game or even to get a goal. Just slow, meandering football and waiting for the opposition to do something.
No positive response from game to game.

🖤 DEP

We have the 8th most big chances in the league.
We’ve missed 74% of them.
Astonishing

How can you go from relatively decent performances against Brentford, Arsenal and Man City into absolute donkeys since?
Was relatively relaxed on the back of those games but it’s been a clusterfuck since
HAVE to reward solo performances with opportunities to start games #SAFC

It’s the standard of goals we’re conceding…
It’s just so, so poor.
Individual errors, lack of effort to make up for a mistake, sloppy in possession, silly red cards.
We’ve gone from one of the best drilled and most organised defences in the league, that was the bedrock of a side that took points off 18 of 19 opponents last year, to one of the worst.

Six goals from individual errors this season in the Premier League…

Not for the first time this season, Granit Xhaka has been a passenger off the ball this afternoon.
He’s far from the only one at fault, but his performance has been well below the standard you’d expect from Sunderland’s captain.

Le Bris and Sunderland might be 20th as it stands but they reduce games to fine margins and excel in all game-states as they press man-to-man high, defend zonally low, can build against a zonal press or play direct against a man-to-man press, and attack well in a 3-1-6 with decent quality + profile balance across the thirds.
Combine that with the support of the fans at the Stadium of Light and I don’t expect them to be relegated this season.
I actually back them to go far in Europe and to stay up comfortably.
They have a talented and big squad, even if the summer window just gone was a little underwhelming.
