For a second time, voters have passed Amendment 4! In Missouri, we DEFEND our police, we don’t DEFUND them! #BackTheBlue
Today is a devastating day for our community. As the longest-serving prosecuting attorney in Platte County history, Eric Zahnd was a dedicated public servant whose historic record helped make us all safer.
He was devoted to his team of incredible prosecutors and staff and most of all to his family. Eric has been a friend and mentor to countless young lawyers and his legacy will live on in their work. My prayers are with his wife Tracy and two sons.
Great to help welcome new @MissouriWestern President Lenny Claver to campus at last night’s home opener. Excited to have him in St. Joe and for the future he’ll help build at the university.

Missouri’s current initiative petition process lets out-of-state special interests bypass the legislature and push their political agenda into our Constitution. Voting Yes on Amendment 4 on August 4th ensures Missourians are calling the shots for our state, not out-of-state billionaires. #moleg

🇮🇱 Jerusalem, Israel, July 2026: As part of CAM's mission to Israel, Republican state legislators visited the Western Wall and explored the ancient foundations of Jerusalem, gaining a firsthand understanding of the Jewish people's connection to the city.
Wrapped up my final legislative update with our local chambers. Thanks to @northlandregion, @PCChamber and @StJoeChamber for hosting and all you do to support economic growth in our region. #moleg
Some highlights from the opening of the @MortonAmpKC. This amazing venue will establish the Northland as Kansas City’s premier live music destination. It was great to join Mayor Rose in welcoming @LiveNation to Riverside to celebrate this transformative project in our community.

Thank you for your service to the people of District 34 and to the state of Missouri, Senator @TonyLuetkemeyer! #moleg
I joined prosecutors, law enforcement officers and victim advocacy groups from across the Northland at the annual Victims’ Rights Week Luncheon. @PlatteCountyMO Prosecutor @EricZahnd surprised me as one of this year’s recipients of the Sara Andrasek Memorial Award.
Northland patriots were fired up at the @PlatteCountyGOP Lincoln Day! It was great catching up with so many friends. As my time in the Senate comes to a close, I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue serving—this time closer to home—as Platte County Prosecuting Attorney.
Big win for Missouri! The Senate’s passage of legislation to eliminate the income tax puts more money in the pockets of hardworking families and small businesses.
By joining 9 other states with no income tax, Missouri’s economy will grow, bringing more jobs and financial freedom

It’s Tax Day, and as hardworking Missourians across the state are writing checks to Jefferson City, the Missouri General Assembly has the chance to give voters the choice to end that check for good.
Phasing out the income tax would make Missouri more competitive, attract jobs and investment, and let workers keep more of what they earn from the start.
We should trust the people. We should let voters decide.
Thank you to all of our friends and supporters who showed up earlier this week for my announcement to run for Platte County Prosecuting Attorney. I’m humbled and grateful for the support of retiring Prosecutor Eric Zahnd, Platte County Sheriff Erik Holland, and the KC FOP.🧵1/2

Missouri Senator Tony Luetkemeyer is now running to become Platte County's next prosecuting attorney. Filing Thursday as a Republican, Luetkemeyer is a familiar face to the area, as he currently represents Platte and Buchanan counties.

Here’s a preview of why @TonyForMissouri made the decision to jump into the race for Platte County prosecuting attorney.
@EricZahnd is also hopeful Luetkemeyer will have First Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Mark Gibson to lean on should the senator win later this fall.
From the Missouri Senate to the Platte County Prosecutor’s office? That could be the move for Tony Luetkemeyer, whose seat already represents the area.
