NEXTA Speedbox is off to a solid start. This field was planted April 26 and split planter with and without NEXTA. It caught a couple of warm days, then turned cooler with a few nights dipping to 0°C. You can already see the biological giving treated side a clear advantage 🤩

As post emergent soybean spraying ramps up remember to follow proper mixing order with Enlist 1 herbicide. It is CRUCIAL to follow proper mixing order to avoid chemicals salting out in the tank. Never mix Enlist 1 and Glyphosate concentrates together!

It’s Friday the 13th, why not share my thoughts on horrifying pathogens? While early, #OntAg needs to start thinking (NOT Panicking!) about #TarSpot. Shoutout @DTelenko and her team for spotting the first stroma this week in Indiana and alerting us! youtu.be/W88zn0weLEs?feature…

April 24th & the #Plant25 itch is worse than poison ivy in #OntAg . Here’s a few reminders: 1) Soil fitness is critical! 2) Be on top of the weather forecast, especially cold rains. 3) Take your time getting started. Get off the tractor and ✅✅✅the youtu.be/C2CnA4Uvg9A?si=nRX8…

Spent the AM with @PioneerSeedsCA Sales Reps in our pocket of #OntAg doing a corn grid. 17 plots & 20+ hybrids from 82-107D. In depth discussion on agronomics and encouraging obs of yield potential, good plant health, & excellent #TarSpot performance from the Pioneer hybrids.

Cow chow season is just around the corner. 👀 for high quality feed? 1) Look at milk line as key predictor time. 2) Consider high chopping as digestibility in wet areas will be lower than 2023. 3) Consider using 11CFT inoculant. 4) Daily monitor kernel processing. @PioneerSeedsCA

Brussels ON: ~175 CHU (~100 GDU) since May 1st. Some in #OntAg #CdnAg #AgX will say we’ve lost those heat units… Nonsense! If soils haven’t been fit, YOU’VE LOST NOTHING! You’ve heard of FOMO? (Fear of missing out) Don’t get caught up in #FOMOOCHU (FOMO on Crop Heat Units)
