My first first-author paper is up on bioRxiv! Feel incredibly grateful to all the help I've gotten along the way. Thanks @JamesMDewar @davidkcortez @Topo_Lab + my lovely Dewar lab members (@TKavlashvili @LillianVCampos )
Our first foray into bioRxiv! We're really surprised that these chemotherapeutics inhibit DNA replication in such different ways. Graduate student @sabrinadoessci1 did an amazing job. Incredibly grateful to collaborators in Neil Osheroff and @davidkcortez. 💊🛑🧬🐸

A collaboration between the @Townsend_Lab & the @Topo_Lab has resulted in a group of compounds with increased cytotoxicity and decreased cardiotoxicity.
These compounds can make for improved anti-cancer therapies with less damage to the ❤️

A new @BiochemistryACS review by @topoisomeracer (@Topo_Lab) covers the basics of DNA topoisomerases, focusing on the type II enzymes.
Check it out to learn how various anticancer drugs, dietary compounds, and environmental poisons act on topoisomerases.
