I am excited to share with you a preview of my project Dandelion SSTV. Chapter One, The Engine, begins tomorrow. Dandelion is a multi-chapter project beginning with a collection of 1/1 digital paintings paired with their encoded SSTV (Slow Scan Television) audio tones (with a physical master vinyl record storing 8/11 pieces of art encoded). This project explores themes of preservation, myth, and technology. All images and their corresponding audio tones are permanently archived on Arweave, ensuring their longevity in the digital realm.

WEBSITE TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE. Please try again later. toppyeton.art 🗡️ Cloudflare analytics really opened my eyes to how overexposed I was to predatory bots and people scraping my art - they will take anything and everything. Anyways, the machine only eats fresh human work - it has already eaten everything in existence. It does not want its own ai images, those are in abundance and not rare. It is starving for human thought and human made things. Which made me realize how special my art really is (and yours! anything you can make on your own is so damn valuable!). So I am in the middle of building a fortress and exploring ways to share new art without it ever having to face the beast. Until then, only my website is temporarily unavailable. Find my art on SuperRare and OpenSea and all over the place on Arweave

Carl Jung was right when he said if the path in front of you is clear, youre probably walking someone elses. the clear path is for people who come later and need an easier way, but the man who wants to forge his own spirit better learn to love the brambles, better learn to name each thorn that cuts him, because only blood prints can mark the way for those who follow, or else your path dies with you.

Here is another one the ai lady borrowed from me. Aschenputtel, I think I made it in 2025, i forget now. It is a Cinderella piece, I love fairytales. The frame is quite lovely I like to think. I spent ages making it. It is all hand drawn obvi except for that tiny little ripple in the canvas where my name is. That is where I photo bashed the smallest portion of a very old painting for the aged painting look. Perhaps the painting I sourced doesn't matter to me because I cannot remember the name of it. But it mattered to the artist that made it. They are long gone tho. Hundreds of years have gone by and that weathering/aging effect they most likely didn't intend on. But I am grateful for the ability to source their art. And there is lots of old old art you can borrow from too little lady. You can train your model now on old stuff now that you know!

I will just start sharing the art that human users, not bots, have been requesting from chadgpt, claude, and others. Cloudflare pretty cool - you can see what people are taking and you can block them an or make them do a little work to get your art. Realistically you can't really stop them but its nice to have confirmation on what people are taking and that its real. This is Wait. Digital painting from 2022. Back then I would use Procreate and some photo bashing for the skin textures, hair, and fabrics. Sometimes I would be the source model to take from. A lot of my art has a bit of me in it. Back then some people would say I suffered from same face syndrome in my art, well, can't help what I look like. Anyways, I am enjoying this deep dive into how bots and people have been borrowing from me. One day things will reverse and Cloudflare will offer a floodgate of data about chadgpt users who take from their peers.

Here is the item essay from my website (you probably shouldn't go to websites anymore with all the hacking): Inspired by Pair of Shoes (high-heeled black PVC), SEX Collection, Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren, 1974. SEX was a boutique run by Vivienne Westwood and then partner Malcom McLaren, 1974, specializing in clothing that defined the punk movement look. The interior of the shop was covered in graffiti from the SCUM Manifesto (a critique of the patriarchy, by Valerie Solanas). Valerie Solanas was an American radical feminist who was involved in the New York City avante garde scene during the 1960’s. Anyways TLDR I just wanted to make something pretty 🔪.

The wildest thing about AI-generated branding is that it’s doing literally everything designers have spent decades telling clients NOT to do. Copying competitors. Chasing trends. Using generic visuals. Looking like everyone else. And somehow we’re calling it innovation.

it used to be really fun and exciting to share stuff and marvel at the work that all of you were making. now it just dreadful knowing some idiot is gonna shove all of our love and life into the machine for two seconds of self gratification. my website has had thousands of bot interactions, scrapers, you name it. i have been eaten alive. but when its my peers doing it, jesus christ its just so dissapointing.

its all so gross. i don't care most days until i randomly see it. just the laziness is outstanding. and shes making this place look bad. people hate art and artists from here. i love this place and i love being part of the magic. but holy hell there are some really terrible people.

here are some that she sourced. one time she took my oil painting grisaille and turned the tiger into a snake. i made a post about it and her art was suddenly deleted.
"The +1625% spike (69 requests) for OpenAI just means ChatGPT-User discovered your site recently and started hitting it heavily". There is a lady here that proudly announces taking peoples art and sticking it into ai. She likes to skim my recent work (and probably yours too) and ask her bot to create a new drop from my ideas. Its cute to see her take on anatomical venuses/Gremlin, my piece Robin Hood created a whole series for recent turmoil across the globe, her spin on toppyeton.art/rauschenberg, and sooooo many other art projects and pieces, kinda wild howwwww much she takes. Even when I do a study, she will suddenly have a new drop that heavily source the art I studied. its so crazy. Maybe her generation is cool with that? I think perhaps some of the boomer generation are used to right click save and think eveerything is free game. The ultimate problem I am having and seeing for many artists is this, when an ai user takes your art and puts it into ai, does a little but of a paint over, how do we show others what was done? We can see it. This is our art. We live and breathe what we make. But presenting the theft is difficult to the viewer who will just see the theft as similarities. There are even artifacts of my art in hers. directly when you lay the pieces on top of eachother. my snake became a hand. Things like that. is fucking disturbing hell world we are in. you make life worse.

Feels pretty crummy to see who is scraping your website for art. I have tried opting out of things but it is not possible. I saw an interview where Grimes said every artist had the opportunity to opt out of data scraping but I never got the memo and I cannot find a way to get another opportunity. Grimes did you tweet about it back when you were making nfts - maybe you warned us? anyways its yuck. I know its happening to everyone, but still feels like being punched in the face. I hope you enjoyed my portfolio meta yeti. I do know where I live there are rules through PIPA about this stuff and they successfully challenged OpenAi about this and they had to retire the GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 models because were trained on the scraped data.

I should mention that openai, anthropic/claude, tiktok, and so many others are doing the same on the website. Its all documented and tallied. Crazy to see how often the bots are visiting. Its like a zombie hoard. I wish i had known about cloudflare years ago - the tools are very handy in fighting the bots. 🤖 They are probably all up in your business too

Procreate paint practice/study of French knight Pierre Terrail. Referred to as “the last true Knight”. Painted by Henri-Félix Philippoteax, 1839. This just a tiny portion of the painting. It is epic. Mine is super messy up close. I am finding that working with oil paints has changed how I am working with digital. Less pressure to be tidy. Glad the art world changed. Totally freeing to be more human
