#UnpopularOpinion #74. My hustling daughter started a small spirits & winery off liquor license store in Kyaliwajala sometime ago. She employed a young graduate who had spent about 2 yrs without a job. For a month, she sold just an item. My daughter had paid 6 mths rent, local gov’t taxes & salary for the attendant was due. She had borrowed money from me to buy refrigerators, racks, etc. After sometime, friends told her of how they supported her hustle. Where was money going? She later realized that the attendant would sell but quickly replace the stock & claim she wasn’t selling. She would happily pocket the revenue. My daughter is not alone. Many young people decry of unemployment, curse government & post about corruption. When given a chance, they do this. This is like cutting the hand that feeds you. If your employer folds up, then what happens to you? When will this country develop? Young people, shun corruption at all levels & be trustworthy in whatever responsibility you are given.
