Most hurdle coaches only train the lead leg. Two-time world champion Dexter McCloud trains both, and it comes down to proprioception: your body knowing where it is in space.
In the air, an untrained hurdler flails to stay balanced. Training both legs builds symmetry and control, even if the athlete never switches lead legs in a race.

One of the greatest things in this life is waking up and being obsessively and passionately relentless about the pursuit of a purposeful goal.
You get to be violent in your pursuit and crush anything that stands in your way as opposition.
All of us will die. Only some of us will die on "E". I choose to be the latter.
This time of year always has my brain feeling ADHD.

Agreed, and the ones who keep pushing through hurdle three usually have the cleanest rhythm by five. Rushed first steps show up late.

Acceleration. Great hurdlers continue accelerating through the early hurdles while establishing rhythm.
By the fourth hurdle, I always knew whether I was in good position or not.

Nobody expects perfection from their spouse, boss, Pastor or family members but the same isn’t true for parents and their kids high school or middle school coaches. The mindset is oddly fascinating and mind-boggling.
