“Today gave us a chance to run relaxed, and a lot of them learned they could run relaxed and run fast, so it was neat to see that and have a little bit of a break in effort to go into the Wendy's (Invitational) next week.”

Watauga's girls came out on top of a crowded NCHSAA 6A indoor track & field championship field to win its first title since 1997. Watauga won just one gold medal on the day.
Ragsdale freshman Taraji Jordan was named MVP, winning the 55 and finishing top-3 in two others.
Ragsdale's Elle Dawson, Southeast Guilford's Ataja Stephane-Vazquez, and Asheville's Sebla Miracle were double winners.
