I don’t think the hydrological event in southwest Colorado is getting enough attention. This flooding event is historic and that is not hyperbole. The San Juan River at Pagosa Springs is now expected to crest at 19.38 feet; nearly 4.5 feet higher than the historic flood just last week and almost 2 feet above its all-time record.
Successive events of similar magnitudes compound impacts given that infrastructure has previously been weakened. I expect this event to cause significant damage to infrastructure across much of Southwest CO.

This woman just came from voting in NYC and she says that they’re definitely messing with the elections after they told her that her signature was wrong and she had to sign it the way that they had it which she said was a machine printed signature not hers. Then they told her she could affidavit vote which was like reregistering and proceeded to ask all these personal questions they’ve had forever,but she apparently got her vote in after all that. What do you think?

Pennsylvania officials caught a scheme involving 10 forged mail-in ballot applications submitted by a woman from Idaho.
The best part? She was an independent contractor for Mobilize the Message, a conservative voter outreach operation founded by Republican strategist Cliff Maloney.
The system worked as designed. All 10 applications were flagged and rejected. No ballots were issued.
The irony? A Republican-aligned political operation caught up in an election-fraud investigation. Meanwhile, Scott Perry was already misrepresenting what actually happened.
Facts matter. Apparently, especially when Republicans are doing the explaining.

PAGOSA SPRINGS FLOOD EMERGENCY, LEAVE EVACUATION AREAS NOW
The river is rising faster than anticipated and is now expected to crest higher than previously forecast, potentially as early as 6 PM tonight.
MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDERS remain in effect for all low lying areas along the San Juan, Rio Blanco, Navajo and Piedra Rivers.
Pagosa Springs closes to ALL incoming traffic at 2 PM today. You may leave, but incoming traffic and reentry will not be permitted until authorities determine it is safe.
If you are in an evacuation area, LEAVE NOW. Do not wait for the river to crest. Conditions are changing rapidly, and emergency responders may be unable to reach you. Even outside evacuation areas, officials strongly encourage anyone who feels unsafe to move to higher ground now.
⚠️ SEWAGE IN THE SAN JUAN RIVER
The Town of Pagosa Springs reports sewage is being discharged into the river near the First Street Bridge during the flood emergency.
Avoid ALL contact with river water and floodwaters, including downstream. Keep children and pets away. No fishing, swimming, wading or other river activities.
Please take this seriously. Follow local officials’ instructions and get somewhere safe while you can.
