🇺🇸⚽️ Could England’s second division become the next big pathway for American talent? The Championship is attracting more American players, and it’s not hard to see why. 🏆 With 46 league games, intense competition and the possibility of earning a place in the Premier League, it’s an environment that demands a lot from players both physically and mentally. 💪 But what’s particularly interesting is how English clubs are beginning to view talent coming out of the United States.🇺🇸 And for young American players with ambitions of playing in Europe, there’s a valuable lesson here. 🤔 Getting noticed is one thing. Being ready to take your opportunity when it comes is another. 🤝 #usa #soccer #premierleague

At 18 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo was already telling his Manchester United teammates that he was going to become the best player in the world. 🇵🇹🐐 And looking back at everything he’s achieved, it’s incredible to think just how much he believed in himself before the rest of the world did. From leaving his family behind in Madeira to pursue football in Lisbon, to arriving at Manchester United as a skinny teenager, Cristiano worked relentlessly to become the player he believed he could be. He went on to win five Ballon d’Ors, five Champions Leagues and break records that once seemed impossible. But perhaps his greatest achievement was what he did for Portugal. After the heartbreak of losing the EURO 2004 final at just 19, he went on to captain his country to their first major international trophy in 2016, followed by Nations League titles in 2019 and 2025. More than two decades representing his country, becoming the highest goalscorer in men’s international football and inspiring an entire generation of Portuguese kids to believe they could reach the very top. Whatever your opinion of Cristiano Ronaldo, nobody can question how much he’s given to the game. #ronaldo #cr7 #CristianoRonaldo

This isn’t a normal football camp. Every session is intense. Every detail is analysed. Every player is pushed. That’s why players travel across the world to experience it.

Some things are simply bigger than football. 💔🕊️ The football world is mourning the tragic loss of Jesús de Miguel, who passed away at just 30 years old following a collision during Tenerife’s match against FC Andorra. Only a few months ago, Jesús was celebrating promotion with Tenerife, looking forward to another season doing what he loved. Nobody could have imagined that his life would be taken so suddenly. But as heartbreaking as this is for the football community, we must remember that Jesús was much more than a footballer. He was a father, a partner, a son, a teammate and a friend. A family has lost someone they loved, a little girl has lost her father, and those who shared their lives with him are now facing an unimaginable loss. And while so many of us dedicate our lives to this beautiful game, moments like these remind us just how precious life is, and how quickly everything can change. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, loved ones, teammates and everyone affected by this tragedy. From the Team at Train Effective, Rest in peace, Jesús de Miguel. ❤️🕊️ #football #soccer #Tenerife

Imagine being able to give your little brother the childhood you always wanted. ❤️⚽️ That’s the part of Lamine’s story a lot of young players will relate to. Wanting to make it so your mum can worry less. So the people who drove you to training, paid for your boots and believed in you can enjoy what they helped you achieve. But when you want it that badly, it’s easy to put too much pressure on every performance. One bad game starts feeling like you’re letting everyone down. You don’t have to solve your whole future every time you step on the pitch. Give yourself something you can actually work on today. Improve your weaker foot. Ask your coach where you need to get better. Work on the mistake you keep making instead of avoiding it. Let the people you love give you a reason to keep going. And give yourself the time to improve. Send this to the person you want to make proud. 🤝 #LamineYamal #FCBarcelona #ucl

Grealish is enjoying his football! 😍 Remember, we all started playing for the love of the game and the joy it brings, something that can sometimes get lost in the professional game. No one plays better than a player who’s enjoying themselves! ❤️ #everton #premierleague #NewcastleUnited

José Mourinho on Xabi Alonso’s incredible coaching at Bayer Leverkusen: 🗣️ “I remember one training session at Real Madrid. We were working on defensive shape, and after I stopped the drill, Xabi came to me and said, ‘Mister, if we move the line five meters higher, we can recover the ball much faster. Most players think about themselves. Xabi was already thinking like a coach.” 🗣️ “The next day we tried it in training, and he was right. The intensity changed, the pressure improved, and the whole team looked different. That day I told him, ‘When your career ends, football will not lose you... it will just see you from a different position.’” 🗣️ “So when I watched what he was doing at Bayer Leverkusen his organisation, his mentality, his courage I’m not surprised at all. He was reading football like a coach long before he became one.”

Sometimes, the club you dream of playing for is the one that tells you you're not good enough. Dan Burn knows that feeling better than most. ❤️ His journey is a reminder to every young footballer who's been released, rejected or overlooked. ⚽ Keep working. Keep finding ways to improve. Your next opportunity could be closer than you think.

Some of the most important lessons in football come from players who’ve already been through it. 🧠⚽ Knowing how to manage a game when you’re 1-0 up, staying composed when things aren’t going your way, or understanding what your team needs from you in the final 10 minutes. These are things that take years of experience to master. And having the right people around you can make a massive difference in how quickly you learn them.

🚽 Even the urinals are becoming a competitive advantage in football. Clubs including Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Arsenal and Barcelona are using smart urinals to turn players’ urine into real-time hydration data. 🚽 HOW THE SMART URINALS WORK: 💧 Smart urinals are installed at the club’s training facilities. 🚦 When a player urinates, the system provides an immediate hydration assessment using three colours: 🟢 Green = Good hydration 🟡 Yellow = Hydration needs attention 🔴 Red = Potential dehydration WHY IT MATTERS: 📊 Less friction, more data. Players don’t need to submit samples separately. The technology collects information during a routine they already follow. ⏱️ Timing is everything. Real-time feedback gives staff the opportunity to act before training, rather than waiting for results later. 🏆 Competition drives behaviour. Instant scores make hydration more visible, and some clubs even turn it into an internal competition. At the highest level, every detail matters. Even something as routine as going to the toilet can become another opportunity to gain an edge. Source: @TheAthletic

Harry Kane once told José Mourinho he wanted to be Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. At the time, Kane was already one of the best strikers in the world. But putting himself in the same conversation as two of football’s greatest ever players? That was a different level of ambition. Back then, Kane was still chasing his first major trophy. There were questions about whether he’d ever win silverware at Tottenham, let alone reach the heights of Messi and Ronaldo. Then he left Spurs for Bayern Munich, continued breaking records, won trophies and delivered an incredible 73 goals for club and country last season. Now, he’s won the Ballon d’Or. Will Kane ever be considered in the same category as Messi and Ronaldo? That debate will continue. But there’s a lesson here for every aspiring footballer. The level you believe you can reach shapes the level you work towards. Having a huge ambition doesn’t guarantee success. But you have to be willing to set the target, put in the years of work and stay consistent long before anyone else believes you can get there. Six years after that conversation with Mourinho, look where Kane is. Congratulations, Harry! 👏🏆

Haaland averages 22.74 touches per Premier League game. Cherki averages 54.85, more than double. So how does he dominate games he barely touches? He spends most of the match watching defenders, saving energy and sitting on the last man's shoulder. Even without the ball, that movement pins the back line and opens space for his teammates. Then one chance arrives, and one touch is all he needs. Before posting, it's worth double-checking whether Cherki's 54.85 is a Premier League-only figure. He's only been in the league since 2025, so it may be a small sample or a mix of leagues, which would weaken the side-by-side comparison.

PSG can reject a player before they step into the pitch ❌ Because signing a talented player is easy. Finding a player with the mentality to handle the pressure, expectations, and demands of high level football is the real challenge.

Lamine Yamal might of just pulled off the assist of the season 🤯 After assisting Anthony Gordon against Galatasaray, Lamine shared with Thierry Henry his key to gaining an edge against the world’s top defenders 🤝 Whether it’s a Rabona-feint, or a normal feint, Lamine insists that the little space and time it creates, helps him to gain the competitive advantage on the pitch 🧠 And all of this is proof that even though Lamine is 19, he’s constantly thinking of how he can improve and gain an edge on footballs biggest stage 🤩

Barcola on Ligue 1 vs the Premier League 😮‍💨 More end-to-end football, less time to think and a much higher physical demand. The intensity took him by surprise, with cramp in his first few matches 😯 He’s still waiting for his first goal contribution at Liverpool, but adapting to a new league takes time. The quality is there…now it’s about adjusting to the pace and physicality of English football. Could it be only a matter of time before he finds his feet? 👀
