Brent Venables has given Oklahomaās defense something its offense hasnāt received:
Patience and Investment.

Why is the general consensus always assuming young QBs that are on the bench arenāt good enough to perform?
Maybe (just maybe) they just havenāt been given the chance to prove it yet.
I know the #Sooners will likely take a portal QB for 2027.
I wish they wouldnāt.
I know thatās unpopular, and I donāt expect leadership or fans to agree, but Iām ready to start some continuity in the offensive backfield.

Everybody knows that the ābackbreaking errorsā always start to go away in the 31st collegiate start.
EVERYBODY.
Oklahoma OC Ben Arbuckle on John Mateer: "Everything that he's done, the player that he is, the preparation that he has, we believe that John Mateer gives us the best chance to win. ... We have to eliminate backbreaking errors."

Itās going to be worse this year with Orginial Content Awards payouts.
