When I rule the 7 kingdoms all pickleball activity will cease. Any mention of it after it is banished will result in immediate death. Also, cyclists will only be allowed to ride between the hours of 2-4am and only on streets named Martin Luther King Blvd. 🍻

Jesus died at 33. The human spine has 33 vertebrae. The same structure that holds us up is the same number of years He held this Earth. We have 12 ribs on each side. 12 disciples. 12 tribes of Israel. God built His design into our bones. He wrote Heaven into our anatomy. The vagus nerve runs from your brain to your heart and gut. It calms storms inside the body. It looks just like a cross. That’s the power source running through us. Every time your body heals, every time your heart slows in prayer, every time peace shows up when it shouldn’t…that’s Him. Jesus rose on the third day. Science tells us that when you fast for 3 days, your body starts regenerating. Old cells die. New ones are born. Healing begins. Your body literally resurrects itself. That’s not coincidence. That’s design. And it keeps going. Your heart has an electrical rhythm. Your brain lights up when you pray. Tears contain different chemicals depending on if you're crying from joy or grief. The blood speaks. The bones store memory. The body worships whether you realize it or not. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. We are walking prophecy. Walking tabernacles. Dust and divinity in one. God didn’t just create you. He carved Himself into you. You don’t need to look far to find Him. You just need to look inward. He’s been in the design since the beginning.

The NFL & the government are the same product in different jerseys: high-stakes monopoly operations that keep the money flowing while delivering mediocre, inconsistent results & facing almost zero real consequences for failure. People assume the NFL is less incompetent because it’s private & for-profit. That only works when there’s actual competition & customers can walk. Pro football has neither. It’s a closed cartel with one league, massive barriers to entry, & a captive audience that keeps buying tickets, subscriptions, & fantasy/gambling action no matter how many phantom flags, missed calls, or post-game “we got it wrong” statements drop. Ratings & revenue stay high, so the incentive to fix officiating is near zero. Officials are still largely part-time with other careers. Seniority often trumps performance for big assignments. The league & the officials’ union have long-running fights over full-time status, merit-based playoff crews, & real accountability. The status quo protects the insiders. The NFL will issu a report or weekly review saying a call was wrong (sometimes on the wrong player). It will not reverse results, expand review in ways that actually matter, or overhaul training & grading enough to reduce the judgment-call variance that decides games. Cost & friction are high; the revenue hit from bad games is not. In a world of super technology we should be able to get every call correct through video evidence, but that would hurt the refs’ feelings if they got it wrong to begin with. Like the ref who fell, threw a hissy fit, & threw a flag on someone. He didn’t even know who he was throwing the flag on—he just got embarrassed & mad and threw a flag. That’s the level of accountability we’re dealing with. The system prioritizes protecting the officials’ ego & the existing process over simply getting the call right with the tools already available. The NFL overlords will protect their image & their cartel member refs before they even consider the consumer; us. This season is on a historic penalty pace. Flags are deciding drives and outcomes more than usual. Players & coaches call it out as bullshit after games like the Packers-Lions loss. Commentators pile on. Fans rage. Then they still watch. Gambling money keeps rolling in. When the audience keeps showing up & paying, the league has every reason to treat officiating complaints the way a government agency treats long-term audit findings: aknowledge, issue a memo, move on. Just like the government goes overseas chasing more control & influence, the NFL ships games to foreign countries for the same reason: more money & more power. It doesn’t matter if the product is good or the experience for fans & players is worse. Expansion & revenue come first. People who expect the NFL to suddenly clean up its officiating & start calling games with real consistency are the same ones who keep waiting for government to get better at what it does. Why would either of them change? The current setup is a cash cow that keeps paying out even when the product is sloppy & full of obvious mistakes. Both face weak competition for what they do, the costs of failure are spread out, & the people inside the system have little personal downside for mediocrity & high friction for real reform. Both will acknowledge problems after the fact & issue statements. Neither has a strong incentive to disrupt the machine that keeps the cash coming in.
Did we miss somebody? 😅 @Lions

It’s Monday morning at your W-2 job. You’re about to make a presentation to the leadership team. You’ve been preparing for weeks for this moment, when suddenly your phone starts blowing up…. It’s Javier, the foreman of your mowing crew from the boring side-hustle landscape biz you own. “Hey boss, two of my guys didn’t show today. Mrs. Holder is pissed because we couldn’t get to her last week, and she has family coming over tonight. But we also have to finish the apartment complex today or else we are gonna lose that contract.” Before you can even reply, a text comes in from your planting crew lead. It’s a picture. They tried to back the trailer into a customer’s driveway, but smashed into a brick mailbox and knocked it over. Oh, and the dump trailer door won’t open now either. Now you’re mad, but Javier is waiting on a response still. You tell him you’ll call him back. An email notification comes through from Google Business Profile. “A customer has left you a review. Click to respond.” Curiosity gets the best of you, so you open the link to read the review. 1 star. Angela said: “customer service is horrible! I remember when I could call this place and a real person would answer the phone! Apparently the new owner thinks people would rather talk to an AI assistant.” Your presentation starts in 5 minutes.
If you work a W2 job and don't have a boring business that pays you $5k-$10k a month on top of your salary... I got you. Here are 9 boring businesses for sale today (& where to buy them):
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The "cash flow" figures are Seller's Discretionary Earnings (SDE) including seller compensation for running the business; these service businesses are not passive side income atop a W2 salary and require active management or added costs that reduce net returns. bizbuysell.com/learning-cente… acquidex.com/blog/take-home… bigideasdb.com/passive-busine… duedilio.com/absentee-owner…

I’ll find out Tuesday morning if I get a job that will save my business. If I don’t get it, it’s back to being a W2 employee. 10 years of business hangs on a guy in Plano saying yes or no. Meh.

You know what shook me when I was Muslim? The story of Hosea: In it, God tells a prophet to marry a woman He KNOWS will betray him. She does. She runs to other men. She ends up enslaved, sold, and used up. Essentially, she is worthless to the world. Then, God tells Hosea to go BUY HER BACK, to pay money for his own wife who cheated on him, and love her again. (Hosea 3) I thought it was the most humiliating command in the Bible. Bro, why would any man do that!? Then I realized I was exactly like the wife. I gave my heart to everything but God. I chased other masters and I sold myself cheap. In a way, I made myself worthless. But, God looked at me, the betrayer, and didn’t say “you’re not worth it.” Instead, He said, “Name the price. I’m buying her back.” What's beautiful about this is, that’s the entire Gospel. God doesn’t wait for the unfaithful to come crawling back clean. He pays to redeem them while they’re still dirty. Islam told me to make myself WORTHY of God. Hosea showed me an amazing, present God who pays to redeem the unworthy. The cross was Him naming the price. Praise the Lord! Follow for more Christian apologetics that doesn't stop at winning arguments but equips you to actually reach people!

Brian Westbrook reveals what Andy Reid said to him while standing beside his own son's casket at his funeral, Westbrook approached his former coach hoping to comfort him during the most heartbreaking moment of his life, and says instead Reid looked at Westbrook and asked how he could help him because he knew he had just transitioned out of football and was looking for what was next “I’ll say Andy Reid. Andy Reid was important and influential in my life because you go into the league from a Division I-AA school, and you don't really know very many people. You're just there to grind. And the one thing Andy Reid said was, ‘Listen, I don't want to hear you talk. I don't want you to do all this other stuff. I just want you to listen to your veterans, follow their lead, and grind every single day. And if you do that, I'm going to give you a chance. I'm going to give you an opportunity.’” “And he was a man of his word. When someone says all you have to do is these things, and you follow those things, and they're going to give you this, that's meaningful to you. And to this day, I'll never forget this. This was one of the most, it was actually weird—but I think it shows the man that Andy Reid is.” “His son had a bad drug problem and ended up passing away at camp. I was a year out of the NFL at this time, and so I'm going to the funeral. And the strength of this man, Andy Reid, he's standing at his son's casket. I mean, there's lines a mile long to see him. And I walk up to him, and I'm broken because I knew these kids since I was in college. I'm broken.” “And I give him a hug, and I'm crying, and I'm like, ‘Coach, you good? What do you need?’ Before he even answered my question, he said, ‘What do you need? How can I help you? You're out of the league now. You're doing different things, TV, radio, all this other stuff. How can I help you get to where you want to?’” “We're literally at his son's funeral, beside his son's casket, and he's asking me this. And I'm confused because I'm like, ‘I'm here to comfort you.’ And through all of this, he is still trying to help former players. Still trying to mentor. Still trying to do those things. And even today, when you hear players talk about Andy Reid, they say he's a father figure. He's a great man. He's the best coach.” “Even the issues that him and T.O. had, they're tight like this today, right? And so, you know, I think about guys like that. I probably could name another 50 guys that certainly had an impact on my Mount Rushmore, but those people have influenced my life in so many different ways. Things would be totally different for me if I didn't have those men in my life, and my mother, of course.”

I wish every millennial and younger generations would read this and “hear it” and understand.
My dear American friends, I've shown you where the disease came from and who sells it. Now I want you to look at this email. January 5, 2020, 2:44 in the morning. Peter Thiel writes to Mark Zuckerberg, Nick Clegg, Sheryl Sandberg and Marc Andreessen. It became public years later, in a lawsuit between the state of Tennessee and Meta. The subject line is one word: Millennials. Thiel starts from a number: 70% of Millennials say they are pro-socialist. Read that again. Seven out of ten young adults in the richest, freest, most innovative country in human history say they want the system that ruined every country that tried it. And Thiel, one of the sharpest minds in Silicon Valley, says something important. Don't just dismiss them as stupid or brainwashed. Understand why. His answer: when you're crushed by student debt and housing is unaffordable, you have no capital and no way to build any. And if you have no stake in capitalism, you turn against it. He's right. But follow the thread one step further, because that's where it gets interesting. Who made college unaffordable? Washington flooded universities with easy federal loans, and universities raised their prices year after year, because they could. The same universities that then taught those students, for four years, that capitalism is the problem. Who made housing unaffordable? Zoning rules, permits, environmental reviews, endless regulation that makes it nearly illegal to build. Remember Piketty's famous rise of capital? It was mostly housing. Scarcity created by the state. So here's the full picture. The state creates the scarcity. The universities teach that capitalism caused it. The politicians sell socialism as the cure. The arsonist is selling fire insurance. That's why 70% is not a natural opinion. No generation wakes up one morning wanting central planning. It takes decades of teaching, a captured culture, and an economy rigged to give young people no stake in it. In a healthy country, that number would trigger a serious public investigation into what American universities have been teaching for fifty years. This is not a debate. It's the result of a long, patient operation, exactly the war of position Gramsci described from his prison cell. Now let me tell you what history says happens when an ideology captures a generation and turns it against everything that came before. China, 1966. Mao unleashes the Cultural Revolution and hands it to the youth. Students become Red Guards. Their mission: destroy the "Four Olds," old customs, old culture, old habits, old ideas. Temples, books, art, centuries of history, smashed. In August 1966, at a girls' school in Beijing, students beat their vice principal, Bian Zhongyun, to death. She was one of the first. Teachers across the country were humiliated, tortured, killed by the children they had taught. In 1970, a 16-year-old boy named Zhang Hongbing denounced his own mother for criticizing Mao. She was executed. He spent the rest of his life trying to apologize for it. Children were taught that loyalty to the Party came before loyalty to their parents. Historians estimate the Cultural Revolution killed somewhere between hundreds of thousands and millions of people. The Soviet Union did it first. It turned a boy named Pavlik Morozov into a national hero for denouncing his father. Generations of Soviet children were raised on his story. Cambodia, 1975. The Khmer Rouge declare Year Zero. Teenagers with rifles empty the cities. Wearing glasses was enough to mark you as an intellectual. In four years, roughly a quarter of the population was dead. Every time, the same pattern. Take the young. Teach them that the past is guilty. Teach them that their parents, their teachers, their history are the enemy. Then give them power. So when you see statues pulled down, words banned, books rewritten, and parents treated as obstacles in their own children's schools, understand what you're looking at. It's not the end of the story. It's the opening act. It always starts with the young, and it always starts with good intentions. If the West ever gets its Marxist youth revolution, it won't end in Scandinavia. It will end the way it has ended every single time it was tried for real. And we will have learned nothing. Thiel saw the number. I'm telling you where it leads. The answer is not to hate the young. It's to give them back a stake in the system. Let them build. Let them buy a home. Make college worth its price or skip it. Let them start companies instead of drowning in debt. A generation that owns something defends it. A generation that owns nothing will burn it down. I come from your future. Don't let your children write the next chapter of this story.
