I think Elias has the eye for raw talent and that will remain his job; and now he finally hired someone to develop that talent. That is a hole in Elias’s resume that has needed to be filled for a very long time. One could even say “overdue”
I see this app isn’t going to give the new guy a chance at all

Best of luck! We need you to succeed !!!
Orioles' new GM Jared Banner will manage baseball ops "day-to-day basis" and "lead the organization’s player development, coaching and performance efforts, while also partnering with Elias on strategy, staffing, and talent acquisition, among other duties," the team announced.

Baseball in the radio is the best
Brewers radio announcer Jeff Levering paid tribute to the late great Bob Uecker following the final out in the NLCS “THE BREWERS WIN THE PENNANT! OH MY GOD THE BREWERS WIN THE PENNANT!” How can you not be romantic about baseball.

MLB has proposed returning to a 154-game Regular Season, best-of-seven Division Series, and opponent selection in the Wild Card and Division Series Starting in 2029, shortening the season to a 154-game schedule would create a standard weekly off day benefiting player health, and it would allow the addition of up to 8 more Postseason games by moving to a best-of-seven Division Series format Beginning in 2027, higher-seeded clubs in the Wild Card and Division Series would select their opponents

Oooohhhh
Fans are speculating that Mason Miller was tipping his pitches in his blown save against the Brewers Sal Frelick tapped his neck right before Jackson Chourio laid off a slider that would have resulted in a strikeout and a Padres win

Brew Crew with the walk off, two strikes, 2 outs, bases loaded down by two. What an atmosphere in MIL! SD back to the wall

In other words, calm down people
I’m not a fan of lots of people ganging up on Craig Albernaz. The only reason I related this story was Craig and I had established a text relationship. So strange, no response. I sent the Cowser text because I had seen win many games with his glove and bat and having him on the field as often as possible would materialize in more O’s win. Only a suggestion to possibly make that happen.

Tommy Pham just got robbed of a homer lol, then CLE doubled up the runner. Ex Oriole Tommy Pham to you.

Listening to HoF Tom Hamilton call playoff baseball. Wow listen to the call for strike three and the roar of the crowd! One day, I hope to hear our guys call the game from Camden. Sigh.

In my opinion, it’s the players who are playing so they have to get to the point where they do something about it. At this level, if motivation isn’t coming from to do the things that need doing, no manager in the world can change that. Except maybe Earl.
I’ve seen many reactions to this post that blame the managers/coaches. Nah. Alby manages the game; coaches coach technique. The 🔥 the desire to win 🔥 has to come from the players, esp at this level.

Amen
I don't think it's crazy to say the 2026 Orioles were a more talented team than the 2023 Orioles. But the 2023 Orioles knew how to do the little things to win.

We kept asking “is anybody getting mad?” Now we have the answer
Really strong account by Andy. There are several revealing quotes, but I found these by Blaze Alexander and Trevor Rogers B2B to be particularly damning:
