SOMALIAN WOMAN CHARGED WITH AUTISM AND FEEDING OUR FUTURE FRAUD SCHEMES: Asha Farhan Hassan, 28, is accused of defrauding the state’s Autism program of more than $14 million through Smart Therapy LLC. Prosecutors say the company billed for autism therapy that was not provided, used unqualified relatives as “behavioral technicians,” and paid parents monthly cash kickbacks of $300 to $1,500 per child. Hassan is also charged in the Feeding Our Future scheme, where she allegedly claimed nearly 200,000 meals and took $465,000. She sent hundreds of thousands of dollars abroad and bought real estate in Kenya with the proceeds.
