Today we are introducing KaspaDollar, an initiative led by core developer @asaefstroem to build the first decentralized stablecoin on the $KAS network. The developments around @kccforum and the Toccata hardfork have considerably widened what Kaspa is capable of. Capability alone, however, does not make an ecosystem. Decentralized finance requires a unit of account that holds its value, and until Kaspa has a stablecoin of its own, every application built on it will remain dependent on assets issued elsewhere. The design we intend to follow is the decentralized, overcollateralized stablecoin: a pattern whose security properties have been examined and tested across the industry for the better part of a decade. With the support of the core team, we consider the conditions right to bring it to Kaspa. Realizing this requires development, an independent audit, further research, and the operational work of taking a protocol from specification to production. To fund it, we are opening a fundraiser with a target of 5,000,000 KAS. Contributions are made directly to the fundraising address published on the website. Should the target not be reached by 1 January 2027, every contribution will be returned to the address from which it was sent. Up until that point, this account will share the plans, details and progress of the work as it develops.

The detail worth reading is the deadline. Miss 5 million KAS by 1 January and every contribution goes back to the self-custodial address it came from. No fund gets a discount, no insider gets an early allocation. A public target and a public refund rule. Try finding that in a seed round.

Kaspa Dollar Seeks 5M KAS to Fund New Stablecoin KaspaDollar (@KaspaDollar) has announced plans for a decentralized stablecoin on the Kaspa network (@kaspaunchained) $KAS. The initiative is led by core developer @asaefstroem and targets 5 million KAS in funding. The project aims to raise the funds to cover development, independent auditing, research, and launch operations. KaspaDollar is planning an overcollateralized stablecoin designed to reduce Kaspa DeFi's reliance on assets issued elsewhere. The team says recent developments, including the Toccata hardfork, have expanded the network's capabilities. Contributions will be refunded if the target is not reached by January 1, 2027.

Exactly right, and you've seen it firsthand. A payment facilitator (Stripe, Square, Toast) or a processor like Fiserv plugs into our API. When a refund is issued, it gets an immediate, tamper-proof settlement record on Kaspa that the merchant, PayFac, card issuer and customer can all verify. It doesn't make ACH or card settlement faster. What it does is give everyone a final, shared proof the refund was committed. That lets the PayFac or issuer credit the customer instantly, within their own risk limits, instead of making them wait 3–5 days. It eliminates refund-related disputes and mistaken chargebacks: "I never got my refund," duplicate refunds, and chargebacks filed after a refund already went out. Whoever fronts the instant credit is protected by the record, which is what makes it safe to do. It's a natural premium card perk too. Amex is both the network and the issuer, so it could roll out instant refunds to Platinum members on its own. Those customers feel the wait most and carry the lowest risk. The same play works for Sapphire Reserve or Venture X. There's no shared settlement record for refunds today. That's the gap we're closing.

ran events for fintech founders wrestling with exactly this gap , the delay isn't just fraud risk, it kills customer trust too. instant settlement fixes both problems at once, honestly underrated point.

Built on kaspa:native : Instant Refund Engine A card or ACH refund is approved in seconds but takes 3–5 business days to settle. That gap is where a big share of the ~$100B a year lost to returns fraud and abuse lives: duplicate refunds, refund-then-chargeback, and disputes that come down to whose logs you trust. Instant Refund is a refund settlement layer that uses Kaspa as the proof of finality. The existing rails keep moving the money. Each refund is anchored to the blockDAG as a signed transaction, so every party gets a final, verifiable record in seconds. No customer or card data goes on-chain. Under the hood: 1. FastAPI refund API with idempotent requests. 2. Postgres ledger and a row-locked settlement queue. 3. Workers send HMAC-authenticated intents that expire in 60 seconds. 4. A Rust sidecar holds the only key, checks it against the mainnet address at startup, then signs and submits to kaspad over gRPC. 5. Every refund maps to its Kaspa tx ID in a per-merchant compliance export. 6. The off-chain side is running. Wiring the Rust transaction path into the live sidecar is the current milestone. If you’re in payments, retail or the Kaspa ecosystem and this is useful to you, DM me. Design doc available. I pitched to a few FinTech CIOs but could not obtain seed funding. I also applied this product to @ycombinator but was denied acceptance. No active dev or sales.

This is a really important milestone because it allows developers to finally start building "composable" apps. KCC means "Kaspa Calls for Conventions" and it is an effort to define standards that can be shared across the ecosystem. For apps to be composable, it is not enough that they can call each others functions and observe the results, but they also need to be able to "understand" the data they see. Instead of having each app manually implement the "proprietary language" of all the other apps, these KCC's establish a "common language" that is understood by everybody. So while this doesn't introduce new "on-chain" features, it enables developers to write apps that can be composed without the apps having to know about each other. There will of course be additional standards in the future but these three are arguably the most important ones because they cover the foundations and how tokens / assets are modeled (which is essential for DeFi and anything related to decentralized governance). Kaspa is growing up so fast! 😱 PS: If you are building on Kaspa, please drop me a DM - I would love to hear about your project!
Greetings $KAS. KCC-1, KCC-2 and KCC-20 are now Final, meaning they are ready for full adoption across the ecosystem. We invite Kaspa builders to join the public KCC channel to ask questions, get support, discuss implementations and share what you build. Come build with us.
