Stage 4. Terminal. A Cross. I’ve witnessed the acceptance of it in humility. Which has transformed its bearer into all love. I weep bitterly. And yet, I marvel. ☦️

It is so much later than we think. God. Neighbor. Humility. Love. Nothing else matters.

a monk recently told me that we all hold two poles in a mysterious tension. That it is the reality of living in both planes at once. Grief and hope, coexisting within us.

A 19 acre Orthodox property located in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. $549K CAD Let’s share this far and wide in our Orthodox community. ☦️☦️☦️
These monks could use some help. 🙏☦️ Please pass the link on to someone who might be interested... ☦️ OCA HERMITAGE IN CANADA NEEDS TO RELOCATE ☦️ Holy Transfiguration Hermitage (OCA-Canada), situated near Lone Butte BC, needs to relocate from its current wilderness location. The small monastic community of 3 monks was founded by Archimandrite Gregory (Papazian) in 1978, and over the years, has moved a number of times. The rugged Cariboo region in central British Columbia has been the location of the Hermitage for the past 11 years. Fr Gregory, who is almost 80, has with time developed a number of age related health problems which make it extremely difficult for him to continue where the Hermitage is presently located. It is therefore necessary to find a new location in a less remote area where their elder can be given more adequate care. The monks are certainly not asking for donations - the proceeds from the sale of their Hermitage will cover all relocation costs, but the dilemma at hand is finding an appropriate buyer. The monks are addressing the clergy and the faithful of the various jurisdictions to consider purchasing their Hermitage, which can certainly continue to be used as a monastery, but given its small size, could also be used as home. Their number one wish is that the chapel, which is integral to the building, remain an Orthodox place of worship. The listing price for the 19 acre property is CA$549,000.
