This was Frankfurt tonight. Police say rioters threw MOLOTOV cocktails at officers, attacked a gun store, and looted shops on the city's main shopping street.
It started as a youth "protest" against military conscription.
It ended with Frankfurt's main shopping street sealed off, water cannons, and armored vehicles.
