Let's also say this. NO version of Sailor Moon is the above criticism but the criticism needs to be acknowledged in EVERY version of Sailor Moon. Even the one you consider the darling is not above the criticism and excuses should not be tolerated.. That needs to be said.

I do believe with her comment she was being a little shady which honestly it's in her right. If you read her all her notes Naoko can be a little petty but hey aren't we all.

Which think it's funny how people trying to use it as a gotcha moment but it's a difference how women look at women and how man proceeds women which I think her quote was getting at.
But I think also this as well. If the 90's anime did it ,why couldn't she? Feminism is about being equal.

The Staff was mostly male and how certain things were framed you can tell which does not mean it's bad. It just when you look at in a critical lens it's like " Yep It's obvious" because I wondered how the hell they got around certain things that it is in the anime.

And thats the point. We can have our own fave versions of Sailor Moon. But you have to acknowledge the Critiques of your fave version instead of excuses them. Yes I love PGSM and the manga but I can acknowledge that PGSM effects didn't age and the manga is rushed.
