Serious question because it's purely speculative and personal to each individual. Everyone will possibly have a different take: What would be the point at which people can't meaningfully decline participation in something without losing access to essential economic services?

I don’t think real regulatory Clarity comes first. I think it comes after a financial crisis creates the justification for it; a crisis we’re already being conditioned to expect. *cough* A… *cough* I… Picture the sequence: bank accounts freeze. “Cyberattacks” disrupt financial infrastructure. Confidence in the existing rails collapses, and suddenly moving everyone onto a new digital financial system isn’t presented as a choice but it’s presented as the solution. The GENIUS Act already establishes a federal framework for stablecoin issuance. The next round of “clarity” won’t be about whether digital dollars exist. It will be about the rules governing how they’re issued, used, controlled, and integrated once the migration becomes politically unavoidable. Crisis creates the mandate. One population thinks: “I need liquidity now. I need price movement now. I need a new narrative now.” The other thinks: “I am willing to trade present optionality for future positioning.” The first population tends to churn. The second population becomes structurally sticky. That is exactly the kind of behavior an ecosystem needs if it is trying to build a durable native economic base rather than merely a speculative market.

Crypto culture trains people to seek: speed, novelty, liquidity, constant stimulation, new narratives, immediate validation. White Hole Theory requires almost the inverse: patience, observation, time preference control, distinguishing office from price, distinguishing latent value from realized value, and allowing infrastructure to mature.
