I had a productive engagement with the 2nd Deputy President and My Party Leader,H.E Rigathi Gachagua @rigathi where we held candid and forward-looking discussions on key issues affecting our people.
Among the issues we deliberated on are DCP party matters in Lamu County and across the Coast Region,as well as the pressing situation surrounding Mpeketoni Market. The Government's plan to demolish Mpeketoni Market ,is a move that threatens the livelihoods of thousands of hardworking Lamu county residents who depend on it.
Development must never come at the cost of the people’s survival. Any decision that disregards the voices and economic well-being of our Lamu people will be met with firm resistance.
The people of Lamu deserve leadership that speaks up, stands up, and delivers. I will not sit back as decisions are made in Government boardrooms that negatively impact wananchi on the ground. Our fight is for a dignity, fairness and inclusive development.

I joined the United Opposition principals — H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka, H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, Hon. Martha Karua, Dr. Fred Matiang’i, Hon. JB Muturi, and Hon. Eugene Wamalwa — for the Wiper Patriotic Front NDC and the public acclamation at the historic Uhuru Park, where Kalonzo Musyoka was endorsed as the Party’s flag bearer.
Uhuru Park is more than just a venue — it is a symbol of our nation’s struggle for freedom, justice, and democracy. Standing there today reminded us that Kenya’s story is still being written, and it’s our duty to ensure it ends in victory for the people.
As the United Opposition, we are united by one mission: to liberate this country from corruption, impunity, and poor leadership. We are building a Kenya of integrity, equality, and opportunity for all.
