It's been a while since I last posted, so a bit of an update: I’m focused building something to help people create their own opportunities, and lately, I’ve been reminded how much that matters.
Since May, I’ve been working on a project with a goal that sounds simpler than it is: helping someone who has never coded take an idea all the way to production.
AI has made it much easier to start building. But there’s still a gap between getting something impressive on your screen and having something you can confidently put into people’s hands.
That’s the gap I’m working on.
Getting a working demo into people’s hands has taken longer than I expected, but my conviction in the opportunity hasn’t changed.
My recent experiences with the job market have reinforced why access to opportunity matters.
I applied for a role I knew I could deliver in. Weeks went by without a response. Then I watched it get reposted. Twice.
I’ve built a reputation for taking on difficult projects and keeping things moving when the stakes are high. Those qualities are hard to demonstrate when you can’t land the first conversation.
For another role, I spent a week preparing for the first interview, only to have it cancelled 20 minutes beforehand. A one-line email said the requirements had changed. I replied professionally, expressed continued interest, and recommended talented people for other roles at their organization.
No response.
I understand that requirements change and hiring managers face pressures candidates never see. But from this side of the process, the silence leaves a lasting impression of your organization.
What worries me most is what this means for people just starting out.
I got my first sales job by applying relentlessly until someone took a chance on me. I used some of the little money I earned to pay for industry courses. That combination eventually opened another door. Someone gave me the opportunity to earn the experience my next employer wanted.
How do we build a workforce of qualified people if nobody gives them that first chance?
As AI takes on more of the hiring process, I worry we’ll get better at filtering résumés without getting better at recognizing potential.
That concern reinforces why I’m building. There are people with the knowledge, experience, and ideas to create something valuable who have never had the technical means to build it.
I’ve watched the models improve materially since May. I believe the opportunity to help those people is getting bigger, and that’s what I’m building toward.
If you’re interested in collaborating on or investing in what I’m building, I’d welcome a conversation.
To everyone looking for work, and every hiring manager trying to find the right person under difficult constraints: I hope things get easier, and I hope the right connections happen.
As more of this process becomes automated, we still owe each other respect, grace, and a fair shot.
I think @thsottiaux should consider (with respect) a new rule: When a very generous reset is sent to all users, a rule runs that any user who used a banked reset within ~X hours of the generous reset would have that banked reset returned or get another banked.
Always grateful for the resets - not complaining 🙏
Every day is another step into modernity. With each step, we learn a bit more about human achievement and the nature of evil.

I got tired of all the spam calls I was getting so I had @bot find my number listed on sites and file the removals. I made it a free skill so you can do the same. x.ai/bot/fUj6TYhiW_cjtzWvbsF…

Great to see @graphprotocol in the Hemi stack. If you're building on Hemi and want your contracts indexed, a subgraph is the fastest path to clean, queryable data. Happy to help anyone getting started, and our indexer @graphtronauts_x is around too.
I'm not going to say who or anything else super specific... but there is a company that offers an AI service... and this company specializes in search... they sorta defined web2 search... and, uh, their AI service is really, really bad. Like, it's a perfect business case for bad.

Ink + The Graph
@inkonchain is now fully streamable on The Graph with Substreams on the Extended block model: thegraph.com/docs/en/support…
Extended Blocks give you full call traces, native balance changes, storage diffs, and contract code changes, the data DeFi on Ink runs on, not just base-block logs.
Built by @PinaxNetwork: core contributors to The Graph ecosystem.
Ink now streams extended blocks on Pinax Firehose and Substreams.Every internal call, native ETH balance change, storage write and contract deployment on @inkonchain, not just logs.
Live now in the Pinax app: app.pinax.network
🏃♂️Quite a few months at The Graph! An epic Foundation team working tirelessly to support committed ecosystem of builders and contributors - momentum.

Developer traffic moves onto The Graph Network, Indexers who serve now earn the rewards, and the Foundation steps in as operator to grow the network.

Let's learn about the Substreams Extended Blocks to help get blockchain data from The Graph.
Most projects run on a thin slice of the blockchain. An RPC gives you blocks, transactions, receipts, and logs. The moment the data you need isn't in a log, you're reaching for trace endpoints that are slow, metered, and often switched off.

🟢 ICYMI: Anubis is now indexable on The Graph.
Subgraph support is live on The Graph Network for @AnubisChainL1 — a privacy-focused, EVM-compatible L1 doing 1M+ transactions a day.

HyperEVM on Substreams just moved from base blocks to extended blocks support.
That means internal calls, balance changes, and storage changes in the stream, not just logs. Native HYPE that moves inside a call is now indexable via The Graph’s Substreams.
Get started: thegraph.com/docs/en/support…
New in the Pinax app: HyperEVM extended blocks.
Our Firehose and Substreams endpoints now carry every internal call, native HYPE balance change and storage write on HyperEVM, not just logs. We built the node instrumentation ourselves.
