I assume this was a Motive Studio’s idea. Tells me they rather go back to DS than work on BF6. I’m of the opinion that the players need to show up for this event if we want future DS games. If players don’t show, in EA’s eyes, it shows them people are not interested in Dead Space. If they won’t show for an event, why invest in a new mainline game? I want more mainline DS games more than anyone but not showing up for things like this as an act of protest may have the reverse effect on EA.
