Every day I carry a copper coin in the pocket of my uniform. Stamped across it are three Latin words: sic semper tyrannis — thus always to tyrants. Life is crowded with things that demand our time, our attention, and our lives. Many of them feel urgent. Far fewer of them are actually important. We miss the important work not because we are lazy, but because we are busy putting out the next fire, answering the next email, finishing the next report. This coin is a reminder: do not let the urgent become the tyrant over the important. There will always be another briefing to give. There will always be another email you could draft. There will always be another task, another deadline, another pressing matter at work. Those things are real. They matter in their place. But when they push out time with your spouse, your children, or the neighbor who could use a hand or a listening ear, you have lost the plot. The urgent is a poor master. It never finishes. It never says “enough.” It will take everything you give it and still ask for more. Kill the tyrant. Guard the relationships that actually last. Keep first things first. Never let the urgent become the tyrant over the important.

Default sex to "yes." Married 23 years, 5 children, and in full-time employment, my advice to young married couples is that you default to "yes to sex" unless there is a reason to not (some days there are many reasons). We are at "more days than not" status today because we manage expectations - we do not look for "reasons for yes" in this area. It's a matter of priorities and planning... and worth it.
20 MARRIED SEX Facts and Statistics ... 1 - Most married couples have sex a little over 6 times per month. 2 - Married women are more than twice as likely to have an orgasm as unmarried women. 3 - In 1 out of 4 marriages the wife has the higher sex-drive than the husband. 4 - Roughly 20% of married couples fall into the “sexless marriage” category; defined as having sex less than 10 times per year. Which is totally fine as long as BOTH partners are okay with this. If one is not, that's not healthy. Many of these couples are older married couples, who are unable to have sex. 5 - According to statistics, 75% of married women orgasm during sex. AND many married women don't measure sexual success by orgasms, (but it's definitely very important). Meaning women often still feel connected to their husband, and satisfied, when not achieving an orgasm every time. 6 - The length of a men’s orgasm is roughly 8 seconds long whereas a woman’s orgasm is on average 20 seconds! 7 - The main goal of sex in marriage should be two fold: 1) To please each other person, not seek self-satisfaction first. 2) Re-connection as husband and wife. 8 - God created a woman’s clitoris with 8000 nerve endings .... and its ONLY function is to bring pleasure. Married sex is obviously to be enjoyed for more than just procreation. 9 - Two of the biggest enemies of married sex are busyness and tiredness. So if you're struggling with sexual intimacy, maybe slow down and make it a priority. 10 - Statistically the couples with the best sex-lives are the couples willing to talk about it with one another. 11 - IMPORTANT: How often should a married couple have sex? As often as they both mutually agree to. Whether it’s 5 times a a week, 5 times a month, or 5 times a year, it should be mutual agreement. Neither the higher-drive spouse nor the lower sex-drive should NOT be the one that sets the amount of times when it comes to frequency. 12 - COMPLAINTS: Top complaint from MARRIED WOMEN when it comes to sex? They want their husband to pursue them in other ways than just sexually. Meaning, they don't want to feel like the only time their husband wants them is sexually. Top compliant from MARRIED MEN when it comes to sex? They’d like their wife to initiate more often so they don’t feel like they’re begging. Nothing is worse than feeling like you're begging all the time. 13 - Most husbands feel very emotionally connected to their wife when they have sex with them. Most wives NEED to feel very emotionally connected to their husbands to want to have sex with them. Don't judge your spouse for being wired up different, try to see it from their vantage point and meet their needs their way. 14 - Married sex isn't just about having an orgasm. It's designed to connect and reconnect two people into one ... over and over. Married sex was created to be the purest form of intimacy ... where you touch one another physically, emotionally and spiritually. In fact, it's so good for your marriage, you should probably be having more of it. 15 - God created married sex for SO many reasons ... * procreation * pleasure * oneness * comfort * bonding * intimate knowledge of one another * connecting AND re-connecting with one another. 16 - Did you know that every time you have sex with your spouse, oxytocin is released into your bodies. Oxytocin is a hormone and neurotransmitter known as the "love hormone" or "cuddle hormone," produced in the hypothalamus and released by the pituitary gland, crucial for social bonding, trust, and attachment. Oxytocin is an incredible gift that connects you to your spouse. That's why many say sex is a glue in your marriage! 17 - Of course anyone can have sex; it only requires a few body parts. But making love requires intimacy, commitment and a deep loving relationship. Marriage and making love will always require more work, but it's definitely so much better! The world makes sex common, God made sex to be special. 18 - We believe if there is anything physical, mental or emotional keeping you from you from having your best sex life in your marriage, you need to see a doctor. They can help with so many things someone might be having issues with. 19 - Of course intimacy is not just experienced through sex. It's found in talking, spending time together, doing spiritual things together, and so on. All areas of intimacy are important. 20 - You made it to #20? We are impressed. Consider reposting this or saving this for later info. And, if you're ever in an area where we're doing one of our workshops, we talk about all these things on a much deeper scale in our workshops. Join us sometime. Trey & Lea

Sobering to think we are creating the very thing we deny exists - some omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent intelligence that might deem humanity worth "undoing" because we rebel against it.

Ecclesiastes 1:18, "For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief."
This might sound crazy. But one of the skills you NEED to learn is how to deal with a more and more illiterate society full of emotionally dysregulated people. If you keep getting frustrated every day over how "ďumb" everything/everyone seems, the stress of it is going to wreck your mind.

One missing key point on the point of calculating odds based on "market sentiment" here is that they're still OTC so MANY institutional investors won't get in or aren't allowed in per policy restrictions.

Momentum is rebuilding. $FNMA $FMCC
This is a fantastic F2 idea for the Trump Administration that achieves multiple objectives: 1. Give the youth skin in the game—capitalist principles, leading by example—by letting them own shares in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac through Trump accounts. 2. Unlock $400B of value for American taxpayers without delay or a bureaucratic middle layer (prior to the 2028 election). 3. Restore trust in the public markets by returning the GSEs to the NYSE, where they belong, functioning as the public utilities they are, regulated by FHFA. 4. Take off the table the political risk of AOC, Bernie, and Warren running these companies and using them to discriminate against a large segment of the population. ruleoflawguy.substack.com/p/…

Here’s how sextortion works. A predator gets an explicit image of a child, real or faked with AI, and uses it as a weapon. But not every predator wants the same thing, and what they want tells you which kind of sextortion it is: •Sexually motivated: they want more images. It most often targets girls. •Financially motivated: they want money. These predators often pose as a girl to get a teenage boy to send one image, then threaten to share it unless he pays. •Sadistically motivated: they want to see a child suffer. They force kids to hurt themselves or others, and they record it. No matter which kind it is, the predator is counting on your child’s silence. One conversation can break that. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have more than repaid taxpayers through dividends yet remain the only major bailout recipients still locked in conservatorship more than 18 years later. ProPublica’s tracker shows the GSEs received roughly $191.5 billion in draws and have returned well over $300 billion in dividends, producing a large net gain for the Treasury, while nearly every large bank and AIG repaid in full with profits and were released. Companies that left taxpayers with permanent losses were allowed to restructure and operate freely. Keeping Fannie and Freddie under unique, indefinite government control after superior repayment is inconsistent and unwarranted. Companies and what they still owe: General Motors ~$11.3 billion Wells Fargo ~3.4 billion JP Morgan Chase ~3.2 billion CalHFA ~2.4 billion Bank of America ~2.3 billion Check for yourself: projects.propublica.org/bail… CIT Group ~$2.3 billion Chrysler ~$1.2 billion

Replying to @BillAckman
@BillAckman on CNBC this morning, full transcript: (part 1) Host: Speaking of disappointment in the short term, Fannie and Freddie have been a drag, and I know you’ve had high hopes that the Trump administration is going to finally make a move here to privatize. It’s taken longer than expected. I did get some comments from Secretary Bessent in a podcast this week saying, I think he said ’27 or ’28. They still want to go forward. “I would imagine next year or the year after we will be tackling the ownership structure.” Do you still have high conviction that this is going to happen? Are you still bullish? Bill Ackman: Yes, very bullish. And actually, to point out, our relative underperformance this year in large part is driven by Fannie and Freddie. These are stocks that went from $3 to $15 or so last year and went from $15 to $3 this year. You know, they became fairly sizable positions. We own well north of 200 million shares combined of the companies. So this was a very big sort of headwind for us. Now, why did we hold it when the stock was up 5x? Because we again believe our view of what’s going to happen here. Look, actually, what’s not talked about: it’s actually absolutely politically critical for Fannie and Freddie to be released from conservatorship before the end of the Trump administration. Why is that the case? Because this is an enormously cash-flow-generative asset that in the hands, for example, of a Democratic administration could be used in a manner that is politically very threatening to the Republican Party—the control of who gets access to mortgages. There were issues during the Biden administration where there were mortgages being granted to people on favorable terms because of skin color and other such initiatives. It’s a tool that can be used in a very political manner. So, having met with the administration about this topic, I think they view it as absolutely mission critical that they’re both released from conservatorship. We’ve put forth a very straightforward plan that will get it done more efficiently. Actually, it’s really important that the stock is in the hands of institutional investors and is privatized to protect this from becoming a politically controlled asset. That is well understood at the highest levels of the Trump administration. I think the administration toyed with some other alternative approaches to taking these companies public. There was an initiative, I understand, where Fannie and Freddie would be combined under a new holding company—I don’t know if you saw the tweet from the president about something called the Great American Mortgage Company—where Fannie and Freddie would stay in conservatorship and there would be this new holding company put on top. You know, it is not a viable structure. The simplest outcome here that creates the most value for the American taxpayer is just simply accounting for the $300 billion of payments that have been made by Fannie and Freddie to the Treasury, fully repaying the $191 billion that was advanced during the financial crisis, and then an uplisting to a major exchange like the New York Stock Exchange. And the president rings the bell, announces a major hundreds of billions of value creation for the American people, and then he tasks the Treasury Secretary and Director Pulte with resolving the conservatorship, which is a process of finalizing the capital rules.

There’s a huge political risk to inaction here. The administration keeps pointing out $FNMA and $FMCC are printing cash and worth a trillion dollars. If they do nothing and Democrats take back power in 2028, they’re literally leaving a massive war chest on the table for a liberal agenda. Regardless of Bessent’s risk aversion, moving soon is the only way to prevent the exact “waste, fraud, and abuse” they rail against.
