Newcastle's beautiful High Level Bridge captured yesterday. It blows my mind to think what people would have thought of this when it opened in 1849.

Probably late Victorian or Edwardian Steve. Apparently the swing type bottle came into use in the 1890's. I found another similar one last week.

I get lots Steve and think I am near you. Lots of trees on the bridleway though at the back of the garden and round the playing fields.

I moved to Mundella Terrace (about 50 metres away) in 1999 and Mrs Clough was still working in there, tho she was in advanced years and one learnt to only ask for sweets in arms reach, unless you have time to burn, bless her.
