Our 3rd new manuscript this week: @DelfinisLuca found a mitochondrial-targeted compound partially prevents muscle weakness without preventing atrophy in ovarian cancer. This opens a new direction for therapies targeting muscle ‘quality’. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

We just uploaded our next preprint on cancer-cachexia. Shahrzad Khajehzadehshoushtar discovered 'the mitochondrial-targeted antioxidant SkQ1 prevents mitochondrial-linked apoptosis but not necroptosis or skeletal muscle atrophy in ovarian cancer' ...why is apoptosis active?

I am lucky. These 3 men are critical to have mentored me through my career to date. I can't pay back what they have given. I hope to pay some small part forward.
