We go from 1 mental health call to another, 1 domestic to the next. If we eat more than a bag of Haribo we r doing alright. Remember, look after yourself and each other. If you are not yourself, what use are you to others. Take care and stay safe!

Tough shift 😔. Days like these shows us that despite all the daily politics and usua calls, those on the ground look after each other when it's needed the most.

Last night, I said my goodbyes to a coleague who decided they couldn't do the job anymore. When asked, what will you miss, they replied, the office banter and the comradery that is unlike any other job. Another decent one leaves with no effort from above to keep them.😔

Sigh, 4 episodes of absence in 12 months. 1 of which beimg covid and another was mental health after traumatic inc. Now on an absence review. 😔

0700hrs - start of shift 0701hrs - 1st mental health call. 0945hrs - stand down from mental health call. 1005hrs - 2nd mental health call. 1215hrs - stand down from mental health call. 1230 - sit in the muster room questioning career choices.

Quick one. When your last NS was dropped back to a DS for court and court is then cancelled, do you revert back to NS as per the pleading email or do you stick with the DS?

I am goosed. Royally done in. May be down to pressure of work. May be down to AL block rotations which means I go from Dec to June with no AL. I wanna go lay down in a dark room for a bit.

Sometimes I struggle to stay positive and encourage lazy colleagues to perform to their best. Standards have changed so much but I need to realise the acceptable bar has been lowered.
