My first, first author paper is out in @ISMEJournal ! Over the past few years in the @UCBTagaLab we have been learning about how soil bacteria share corrinoids, largely thanks to funding from @DOEScience. Here, we got some answers by studying isolates.🧵

Shameless plug to #ISME18 that I'll be talking about my enrichment community work with corrinoids that happens to synergize with @zoilaialvarez's work. You can find me somewhere between my poster (#073) and outside under some form of rain-related cover... or send me a DM!
#ISME18 If you want to chat about how we're using corrinoids to solve the great plate count anomaly and study how bacteria in soil share nutrients, visit my poster (#013) tomorrow afternoon!

Hey, that’s me 😬
Come see our posters on Thursday! #ISME18
Check out our lab's soil projects during the thurs afternoon soil microbial ecology session! #ISME18 !
@zoilaialvarez's work looks to understand the great plate count anomaly & @ZHallberg shows the impact of Vitamin B12 + analogs on soil enrichment cultures

#ISME18 Looking for a user-friendly program all in one place? We were too, so we made this.
Thanks @zoilaialvarez (poster 16.013) & @ZHallberg (poster 16.073)!
Also, come to my talk Tues. AM and/or follow me on twitter.

Replying to @AlexaMNicolas
@AlexaMNicolas shows how phage dynamics in response to soil wet-up differ from their bacterial hosts - and their replication rates (isotope incorporation) vary depending on host phylogeny. #phagerule @Firestone_Lab @UCBTagaLab
