Blown away by how a small team of public health experts & epidemiologists at @Yale is doing what *entire governments* won’t: helping bring Ukraine’s stolen children home. #PublicHealth is more than disease surveillance—it’s applying those skills for resistance, justice, and accountability in the face of atrocity.
Where is the rest of our academic & research community in supporting Ukraine? We don’t have to be bystanders in war - as shown by the inspiring leadership of @nattyray11 at @HRL_YaleSPH, using open-source intelligence, forensic analysis & satellite imagery to:
– Track abducted 🇺🇦 children
– Map attacks on hospitals & infrastructure
– Issue early warnings to prevent atrocities
– Build legal cases for accountability
This is what modern public health looks like in wartime.
