Last year in December,at just 33 years old,I bought my own piece of farmland. Just 1.3 acres, but to me, it represents so much more than acreage. I am building generational wealth for my children and grandchildren.Unlike me, they won’t have to start from scratch. They will have something to inherit, something to build on and a foundation to take even further. I prayed for days like these.I worked, sacrificed, made difficult decisions and trusted God along the way. Today,I am living some of the prayers I once whispered. I know 1.3 acres may seem small to some people, but you cannot measure the value of a dream by its size. And honestly, please allow me to show off! 😂 I am celebrating a milestone I once only imagined.

More sponsorship deals needed #SportsUG @UgandaCranes
One year at @OfficialFUFA!!! Well, much of it has been about building the commercial function while delivering on an already busy football calendar. You develop a strategy, assemble a team and establish systems. Meanwhile, partners need attention, competitions need branding, and matchdays must be delivered. The work doesn't stop while you build the structure around it. Today, we have an approved Commercial Strategy for 2026–2029, a six-person team and working systems supporting delivery across the 10 national teams, over 10 competitions, women's football, merchandise and media. One particular highlight for me was the #MyCranesJersey campaign, which attracted 3,063 entries. Beyond the numbers, it demonstrated how a commercial partnership can give supporters an opportunity to participate in shaping their national team's identity. That's value beyond brand visibility. Perhaps one of my biggest lessons has been that commercial promises eventually become operational responsibilities across an institution. Selling rights is one thing. Delivering the value behind those rights requires collective understanding and effort. I'm particularly proud of the team we've assembled. Building a function while keeping it operational is no small undertaking, and their commitment, initiative and willingness to grow have made a real difference. I'm grateful to FUFA's leadership, colleagues across the Federation and our partners @mtnug, @NileSpecial, @Nivana_Uganda, @BidcoUganda, @financetrustug, @stanbicug, @PlasconUganda, @StarTimesUganda, and @CentenaryBank for their support throughout this first year. Year two is going to be about making the foundation count. Strengthening brand protection, consolidating existing revenue and generating new revenue through sponsorships, better monetisation of media assets and structured commercial inventory. We've made progress, but there's still plenty to do. The responsibility now is to turn that progress into sustained commercial value.

So excited about this week's Deep Dive article. I am currently researching a company, one of the biggest by revenue and most profitable on the continent. It listed across 4 exchanges in Africa. The experiment I am running seeks to answer this question. "If you have $100 to spend on this company's stock, in what country would you get the most return?" I will analyze, compare and contrast the financial performance in the 4 Africa economies where this company has operations. Subscribe to my substack so you don't miss the analysis this coming Sunday Visit busulwa.com to subscribe

Generosity is not measured by how much we have but by how much we are willing to share with others. Through #Generosity100, join me to turn kindness into action by collecting 100 books for 100 students, giving them the tools they need to learn, grow and pursue their dreams.

It was important for people to know we are from Uganda! During the #NYCMarathon on Sunday, as I cheered, a man came over. He told me, "I saw you last year, at this same event. I'm glad you came back. Did you find sponsors for your run? I see another logo on your outfit." I was so happy inside that he remembered me so well. This showed me the importance of 'attention to detail.' This year, we put a #Ugandanflag next to the #NyakaLogo on our running gear. It's amazing how that small flag got people's interest. Many people, not just him, asked about the flag. This made me think: What is the one thing you do on purpose to introduce your organization, country, project, or even your family to new groups or places? Overall, the New York City Marathon was a great success, and I'm thankful to God and everyone who helped, especially our runners! #tcsnycmarathon

KYALIWAJJALA - KIRA: Looks like our beloved contractor has finally woken up and graded the road. There’s a bit of relief. “Most of our clients have run away, hopefully they will comeback soon,” remarked Musa a relieved fish vendor at Kyaliwajjala People’s Market. @HonByamukama, hopefully this is not a seasonal painkiller but resumption of works in full gear to complete construction of this road to offer a safe space for motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and roadside communities. #SafeRoadsSaveLives

Thank you everyone for your kindness and condolences during the sending off of our mother, friend, sister. Due to family and many generous people, we did not incur debt for funeral expenses. In fact, there's some leftover and others have continued to give. To honor her memory and legacy, we are using the funds to set up the "Mary Mbabazi Endowment", which will provide modest scholarships for high character nurses, in particular, those pursuing oncology rotations. Lisa, my chief of staff, will be running point. My uncle and mom's brother @Rutooza will support.

I became Uganda's first wildlife veterinarian in 1996, there were only about 650 mountain gorillas left in the world. Today, there are over 1,063. We are proud to have contributed to this positive growth trend though our #OneHealth approach to conservation. One of my first cases as the first Veterinary Officer of @ugwildlife was a scabies outbreak in the mountain gorillas. I learned that we cannot protect gorillas without caring for the people who live next to them. Through @CTPHuganda we started to Improve health care for families around Bwindi, so diseases like scabies don't pass from people to gorillas. We train Village Health and Conservation Teams and Gorilla Guardians to monitor both human and gorilla health. We also help communities find livelihoods like Gorilla Conservation Coffee, so the forest becomes a benefit, not a burden. When communities are healthy, gorillas are healthy. That is One Health. I am humbled to be named a Top 5 @CNN Hero for this work. The winner is decided by your vote. Please vote at: CNN.com/Heroes 10 votes every day until November 29th. Thank you for protecting the mountain gorillas and supporting the local communities with us. #CNNHeroes #WalkingWithGorillas #OneHealth #CTPH #Bwindi

Don’t come to my inbox asking for an appointment. You’ll barely get an answer. In government hospitals, we expect you to come and join the queue when you want to see the doctor. It’s as simple as that. And for the common question of: “Dr, I have a patient with an eye problem. How do we get to you?” The answer is simple: “Use any means of transport available and come to Moroto RRH” “What if we don’t find you?” Well, the eye unit doesn’t close. There are always clinicians available to see anyone who walks in. “What if I only want to see you in particular?” Well, then keep coming until the day you find me. Mondays I’m in OPD Tuesdays And Wednesdays I’m in theatre Thursdays I’m in OPD Fridays I do research and administrative duty. And before you complain, Remember that I’m 1 eye doctor for the 9 districts of Karamoja.
