The cool thing about this is that these earnings are generated via a mixture of internal volume and external markets moving, and completely separate to the revenue the protocol makes from taxes. Current tax revenue is ~$340k on ~$9m in volume, with ~$240k of that being paid to stakers of $MOTION and a further ~$81k being used for buyback-and-burn.
