ALT A graphic reading: Dilan is safe, and our family is together again. As his parents and brother, we can't fully put into words what that means to us. We want to thank President Pines, Chief Mitchell, the University of Maryland Police Department and its detectives, Vice President for Student Affairs Patty Perillo and the university leadership. They brought in local, state, and federal agencies, searched with dogs, drones, and thermal cameras, and worked day and night until Dilan was found. We saw firsthand how far this university will go for one of its students.
ALT A graphic reading: Dilan especially wants to thank the students who put up flyers all over campus and the community. We will never forget. To everyone who reached out to us and shared Dilan's photo, thank you. It meant more than you know. The University of Maryland did an outstanding job, and we are proud that Dilan is a Terp. Thank you for bringing him home.
