Across northern #Gaza, there is no way of telling where the destruction starts or ends. No matter from what direction you enter #Gaza City, homes, hospitals, schools, health clinics, mosques, apartments, restaurants - all completely flattened. An entire society now a graveyard.

Support for water & sanitation at the biggest camp in the world for Syrian refugees is under threat from a lack of funding, combined with the impact of climate change, @UNICEF warns. The camp hosts +80,000 people; +50% are children. buff.ly/I9GXJK5 @UNICEFmena @UN_Water

#Gaza 265 children killed since the ceasefire was announced - on average, a child every single day for more than eight months. While the world continues to speak the language of ceasefire, families in Gaza continue to bury their sons & daughters @UNICEF unicef.org/press-releases/ge…

“Why would children still suffer?” In May 2026, UNICEF's Salim Oweis visited the Gaza Strip to meet with children who had been injured since the ceasefire was announced. Every ceasefire violation puts children’s lives at risk.

“All of these supplies around me are literally three hours from Gaza. They could be there this afternoon,” UNRWA @UNWateridge said to @UNGeneva. Lifesaving aid remains out of reach while conditions in #Gaza continue to deteriorate. Immediate, unimpeded humanitarian access is essential.

This is what “returning home” looks like in #Gaza Home is what everyone has been dreaming of, the memory has pushed families to survive over the last 15 months. Many now return to decimation: shattered lives, broken families & futures left in ruins. A new and unrelenting hell.

Rafah, southern #Gaza today. With relief comes a heaviness from the weight of overwhelming devastation. Families here looking for homes that are no more, looking for loved ones still under the rubble. Families of hostages desperately awaiting news. The loss is immeasurable.
