Key figures at Manchester United consider Unai Emery the IDEAL coach to build the club's future.
Fabrizio Romano says influential people at United greatly admire the Spaniard and see him as the right man to lead the club's long-term project.
Emery has impressed with his work at Aston Villa, turning them into a competitive side and winning the Europa League last season.
However, convincing Villa to let him go would be difficult, as he remains under contract until 2029 and is central to their plans.
Personally, I can understand why United admire him, but the club must also give him the control and backing needed to build something lasting.

#MUFC are not even speaking to any coach. Yes Carrick has got so many things wrong this season but I think if our defenders did their jobs, we would be atleast 3rd even with the bad performances.

1:1 vs Fulham was down to defense

1:1 vs Leeds was down to defense
1:0 vs City was down to defense and Ref
2:0 vs Chelsea was down to defense
2:0 Vs Hull was down to defense

That’s 12 points given up due to defensive errors.
A coach cannot teach a professional defender how to do his job
Defense plus how wasteful we have been in front of Goal is what has exposed Carrick.

“They couldn't hide behind him. And so they GENUINELY decided to move forward with Carrick and give him a CHANCE.
“They've NOT been speaking to other coaches directly behind his back and they STILL BELIEVE that he can bring about this upturn in the next week, however tough it's looking at this point.”

Is a pity I signed for this football club since I was young and now I can’t even get out even after all the heartbreaks I’m still here pushing on and losing sleep while the 11 players on the pitch do absolutely nothing to help the fans nor the football club.
