You no longer drink White Monster. The IV drip on your backpack administers it as required throughout the day - alternating between direct blood stream boosts and a nasal drip for flavor.
I disagree with probably 98% of what Alex Cooper says but I don’t hate this clip. A woman (or man for that matter) should never stay in a relationship just because they feel trapped in it.
The year is 2048. Your ai bot is ordering you lunch - it sensed what would be appetizing to you based on the 6 different wearables you have placed throughout your body. The robot making your chipotle bowl weighs the ingredients out precisely every time. You request an extra 2.6 ounces of artificially engineered chicken for a surcharge of $23. Your bot has noticed that your diet has been missing on some healthy fats so it splurges on some guac -$40. A drone picks up your bowl and deposits it precisely at your desk. $132. All paid for in bitcoin. Your smart contact lenses instantly expense it and upload a picture of your meal to X. Life is good.

All true. And in a New Yawwwker
Bigger issue and more interesting convo is why tf everything is so expensive - not how poor we are
Abso insane how much child care costs 😂
Like 20k a month was a good salary one generation ago, let’s chill
Chipotle is gonna cost 80 bucks a bowl in 5 years
I grew up in a world where if my mom gave me 20 bucks I’d make it last for a week or two. I spent that on a thin salad today for 1 of my 3 meals not taking into account dependents
Called non-equity partnership defrauding clients is quite the statement about your legal judgment

It’s basically fraud. “This title misleads clients, can I please have it?”
The mental gymnastics to have ND at 3 but BYU not even in the field is wild
Plus an LSU team on track to have 5 losses this year
It’s interesting to me how much hate the non-equity partner structure gets. Commonly touted as a bait-and-switch by firms. But I think it’s pretty dang fair and lawyers generally prefer it to the alternative.
If you’ve got a big enough book, you can leverage equity partnership. If not at your current firm then at another. But if you don’t, and NEP isn’t offered by your firm, you’re stuck being a 10th-year associate or special counsel or whatever title they want to come up with that is very clearly not a Partner.
Guess what? It’s harder to win clients, specially big ones, when you don’t have the partner title. So many lawyers prefer the NEP track just for the implicit credibility that comes with being called a Partner.
Sure, it’s not true partnership. But you weren’t getting that anyways. In many ways it offers a more natural stepping stone.
FWIW, my firm does not offer non-equity partnership, and it is frequently requested to be considered as an option by lawyers who don’t have a large enough book for equity partnership. I can see the arguments for both sides, but I don’t think NEP is inherently unfair or misleading.
this one goes out to all my non-share partners barely making a mil
who had families in NYC w the idea that they'd be able to save money, buy summer homes and have power over their careers
but who instead commute hrs to work and spend wknds dancing to the tune of the typo-laden emails thumbed by the share partners making an order of magnitude more
this was not the deal. lawyers were supposed to be able to become kinda rich
but the partners who came before you decided that they'd become mega rich and you'd stay vulnerable
nobody weeps for you bc you look great on that web page but damn you got fucked
Only in NYC are people delusional enough to think that having a nanny/housekeeper and $10k monthly in disposable cash in the bank after covering expenses to live in the city is anything but wealthy
Like sorry you can’t afford that home in the Hamptons but considering a teacher grosses less in a year than you have in disposable income I think you’ll be okay
Replying to @UTDealAttorney
Maybe a bit exaggerated, to be fair, but housing, a nanny/housekeeper, and preschool alone can easily run $20–25k a month. Everything else adds another $5–10k, leaving $5–10k a month. Factor in a vacation or two, and suddenly there’s not much left to save.
Also, unlike most other places, people living in NYC often feel the need—and want—to get out of the city regularly for weekends and holidays. That adds up quickly too.
A million a year is pretty damn good even in NYC… right? Am I nuts?

The iPhone Duo reviews are some of the most brutal I've seen from an Apple product in a long time (Vision Pro aside). But I've been around long enough to remember the iPhone 5, iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone X. The app optimization issue is a non-issue and will be resolved in weeks.
My west coast deal teams think I'm up insanely early
My east coast deal teams think I'm up insanely late
They both right tbh. It's the 12-2pm window that I cat nap
Lol. For the rich it’s not free time. It may look like it. But almost everything has a business purpose.
Dont get me wrong, golf, fancy dinners, and travel is a hell of a lot better than being on a computer in an office all day. But they’re working round the clock.
