Many Huskies are getting antsy for transition to adidas on July 1st. Here's a look back to @UW_Football's Nike uniforms. In 1996, Huskies began wearing Nike jerseys. The pants did not change & were still Russell. Was the last year w/o gold outlining. 1st year w/o sleeve stripes.

More on that 1921 UW-Penn State game in this thread, originally posted two years ago, when the Huskies made their first trip to Beaver Stadium. Note the addition about the pontoon bridge put in place to cross the Montlake Cut.

Curt Warner led the AFC in rushing yards his rookie season in 1983, helping the team to its first AFC Championship game.
He became the first Seahawks player to rush for 1,000+ yards in his rookie season, which wasn't matched for 39 years until Kenneth Walker III (2022).

That 1921 UW-Penn State game was also the last game Washington played as the Sun Dodgers (or Sundodgers), as on Feb. 3, 1922, Washington officially adopted "Huskies" as the school's official mascot (after a brief period in the interim as "Vikings").

I am beginning to think College Football has a bit of an attendance problem brewing. Look at the thread below to see the crowds yesterday at Oklahoma, Penn State, UCLA, TCU, Maryland, SDSU, and FSU. 🤯
What is the main cause? Unrealistic expectations? Economy? Apathy? Halloween?
