When it comes to systems design, what writing (books, articles) have you found to be the best for introducing the topic to designers and researchers? And what’s missing?

I'd like to see more caveats in user research. There are always limitations in the studies we run due to time, budget, or the method choice. It's risky to give teams too much confidence in our findings, and apply them inappropriately.

Global directives reflect influence and support. Take this moment to support your empathetic designers. Enable them to bring up issues, be it UI or workplace culture, and act on them. It’s risky to speak up about what’s appropriate when you lack support.

Unfortunately, I'm seeing product design positions filled with business analysts because leadership considers design as not "magical know-how" but instead sees it as "wireframing using a design system". I don't believe this innovative hiring will save a product nor a company.
