Glory of Ukraine!
💔 Former school principal killed in a drone attack in Oleshky after ceasefire ends
Konstantin Melnik was killed in the Russian-occupied town of Oleshky in Ukraine's Kherson region, according to Tetiana Hasanenko, head of the Oleshky City Military Administration.
“Terrible things continue to happen in the community,” Hasanenko said.
Meanwhile, residents complain that humanitarian aid delivered during the six-day ceasefire is barely reaching them. Some received only small food packages that would not last even a week.
Some residents never managed to leave Oleshky. Others were unaware of the evacuation because they had no means of communication, while some feared Russian filtration procedures.
Melania Trump declared the humanitarian mission a success. Today, the US first lady is expected to meet with Ukrainian and Russian representatives at the White House to discuss the operation's results and possible next steps.
But for the civilians still trapped in Oleshky, the danger is far from over.
💔 Ghost town: Footage reveals the devastation in Russian-occupied Oleshky
Burned-out vehicles along the roads, destroyed buildings, and deserted streets. This is what Oleshky, a Ukrainian town in the Kherson region under Russian occupation since 2022, looks like today.
Archive drone footage released by Ukraine's 34th Separate Marine Brigade "Borysfen" in September reveals the scale of the destruction.
A temporary ceasefire is set to begin here on October 29, following an agreement between Ukraine and Russia brokered by Melania Trump. The pause is intended to allow humanitarian aid deliveries and the evacuation of civilians.
According to estimates, between 1,700 and 2,000 people remain in the town, most of them elderly.

A Kharkiv language school has reported the death «by suicide» of its teacher, 44-year-old Oleksandra Kazarovytska (Kolesnikova), following her arrest in occupied Crimea.
According to the school, Russian authorities ruled her death a suicide. The school states that the teacher was killed by Russia.
She had spent three months in solitary confinement awaiting trial.
Born in Sevastopol, she had lived in Kharkiv for most of her adult life. She was detained after returning to Crimea to help her parents sell their apartment, reportedly over messages with a volunteer dating back to the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
She leaves behind a husband and daughter.

The effectiveness of the Ukrainian refinery strikes has increased lately, indicating that the next generation of long range strike weapons is in use. Both drones and missiles with better payloads and targeting.

British intelligence assesses that two to four Russian Su-34s were destroyed at Borisoglebsk airfield on October 14–15.
BORISOGLEBSK
Ukraine said it used Neptune missiles against the airfield in Russia’s Voronezh region. The UK Ministry of Defence assesses that the strike very likely destroyed two to four Su-34 fighter-bombers. A Pantsir-S1 air-defence system west of the runway and protective structures around the aircraft parking area failed to stop it. UK briefing imagery marks two destroyed aircraft, a scorched impact area and a destroyed building.
THE OCTOBER TOLL
On October 29, a Ukrainian strike destroyed two more Su-34s at Marinovka airfield in Volgograd region. A Su-57 also burned and was destroyed at Akhtubinsk airfield in Astrakhan region after a likely technical fault. That was not part of the Ukrainian strike.
The UK assessment puts Russia’s losses at at least 11 tactical aircraft in October, and at least 115 since the start of the full-scale invasion. That wartime total excludes strategic and transport aircraft.

🇷🇺 MASSIVE EXPLOSION ROCKS RUSSIAN GAS PIPELINE DEEP IN SIBERIA
A powerful explosion has struck a major gas pipeline in Russia’s Kemerovo region, triggering a large fire in the Topkinsky district.
The blast occurred thousands of kilometres from the Ukrainian frontline, with flames reportedly engulfing part of the pipeline infrastructure.
Preliminary accounts suggest that a loss of pressure containment may have caused the explosion. The exact circumstances and extent of the damage have yet to be established.
Kemerovo sits in the heart of Russia’s industrial Siberian region, where reliable energy supplies are essential for factories, heating networks and surrounding communities.
A serious pipeline failure can disrupt gas deliveries and require extensive inspections before normal operations resume, even if the damaged section is relatively small.
The incident also highlights a vulnerability that often receives less attention than drone attacks: Russia’s enormous energy network depends on pipelines, compressor stations and ageing industrial equipment operating safely across vast distances.
There is currently no verified evidence linking this explosion to Ukrainian military activity.
For now, the immediate questions are what caused the rupture, whether anyone was injured and how long the affected infrastructure will remain out of service.
