Tonight: he's filed a police report and is seeking a restraining order. The Board president wants an apology in 7 days. She just told us she won't give one and will go to court instead.

Across #STLCity, #YourFireDepartment’s fire houses are glowing purple as the St. Louis Fire Department stands united against domestic violence.
Together with our partners, @2def_initiative, @Purina, & @RedRoverOrg - we honor strength, resilience, and the courage to break the silence. #YourFireDepartment #PurpleThursday
I would rather @Amtrak be delayed and I find out when I get here than the anxiety of thinking if I have “time” and I don’t. You’re incredibly stressful.
I have so many questions tho…

Yesterday, the Post-Dispatch released an opinion piece insinuating that Black Lives Matter did not show up in the wake of the May 16th tornado.
This is patently false and disrespectful to the numerous grassroots organizations that were on the ground within hours providing critical aid to those affected. Conflating a movement with an organization is not only misleading, it's irresponsible.
I encourage others to join myself and my colleagues in reaching out to the Post-Dispatch to share their concerns.

.@ActionSTL was on the ground in force. The broad stroke insinuation that Black people were not helping their neighbors is ludicrous. Read about their efforts. indd.adobe.com/view/dcf80db6…

Current situation for over an hr. Not a single police officer. Directing traffic to blow up fireworks in the middle of the street.
Thank you St. Louis County NAACP for the Excellence in Healthcare Award. Health is a human right, but recent tornadoes, federal cuts, and our underfunded health department show otherwise. Still, we got us. I build systems that see and serve us with dignity, and I won’t stop.

I was proud to cast my vote yesterday in budget committee to advance $100M in necessary disaster recovery money for St. Louis.
Thank you to @saintlouismayor for coming up to Jeff City to testify and advocate for this money for our City. She made STL proud.
