I don’t really care to debate Seattle vs. Minnesota, both defenses are excellent and I don’t want to diminish either side. I take umbrage with the CFB Brain that is poisoning NFL discourse. “Actual competition,” it’s the NFL, every single player on a roster is a professional and the actual margins between great teams and bad teams in terms of talent is exceedingly small compared to CFB where arguments over composite talent rankings and SOS are mostly valid. Seattle was torched by the Commanders for example. Washington is not a great team but it’s the NFL.

Blake Cashman won NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his all-world performance against the Colts. Five different #Vikings players have won Special Teams or Defensive Player of the Week honors in their past five games. Not bad for frauds!

This is why, even though there is a lot of garbage on ESPN, I still prefer it over FoxSports. On ESPN you will still get some gems and actual game analysis. All Fox has to offer is Cowherds clickbaity bullshit, that hack Nick Wrights “Mahomes Mountain,” and low tier talking head rage bait like this.

Why do we do this thing in team sports where only one player on an entire roster is given credit for wins and loses? Why do rings only matter for the QB? The most dependent position on the field getting 99% of the credit for wins and losses is a disingenuous conversation imo.

OK, first of all, the gap between 2003 and 2004 and 2022 and 2023 is not an entire generation. Second of all, you beat Baltimore because your elite defense held the MVP to 10 points in his own barn and forced 3 turnovers. Mahomes didn’t even crack 250 yards. Good win, let’s not pretend for a second it was because of the quarterback

That Bo Nix run reminded of something I was thinking about before this game: We’ve basically all forgotten that Mahomes came back from that knee injury in 9 months. After game 2 it felt like that story was gone. We’ve heard about Nix’s ankle, Maye’s shoulder, other carry over injuries. But Pat is basically not talked about as either still getting over an injury or or as someone with any signs of decline with how quickly he’s returned and how great he’s looked. Pretty incredible
